'05 TJ seat height29 Mar 2005 05:06 GMT1
Are the seats on the '05 TJ's a little higher than the seats on the '03's
and '04's, or is it just my imagination?
Nathan, are your '05 TJ seats higher than on your old TJ?

What do you all think of the new jeep commander 7 passenger suv. Have I been
missing something or is this a surprise? I thought they were working on the
truck and a new wrangler.
Where is best place to buy a rebuilt ax15 transmisson?28 Mar 2005 23:22 GMT5
Does napa or pepboys have a good price on rebuilt transmissions? What
is considered a fair price? I even see rebuilt ones on online auctions
like ebay but it seems a real pain to ship it and then ship your core
back.
TJ Bright Lights Not Working....28 Mar 2005 22:43 GMT10
Anybody know what may cause my 1997 TJ's bright beams to quit working?
Regular beams are fine. When you turn the brights on, the fog lights
and the headlights just turn off. Any idea's? I'm stumped.

More and more people are now on the Hybrid band wagon especially now when
gas is high.  The tree huggers like them and say they are good for the
environment.  The commuters like them for a tax break and some states allow
them in the HOV lane with a single passenger.  People are ...

4.0L wrangler: Replace a manifold myself or have a mechanic do it?28 Mar 2005 16:02 GMT10
After tracing down the exhaust line an obvious increase in noise, I
either have a cracked or a blown gagsket on my 4.0L manifold. With
access to a lift is it still a difficult task for a novice mechanic or
should I let a mechanic handle it? I see ebay has manifolds from $70 to
Dana 30 vent tube loose28 Mar 2005 02:46 GMT2
I just discovered the diff vent tube is loose where it connects to the
housing. This is a Dana 30 on an '85 CJ-7. This is the fitting that
connects directly to the diff housing. The rubber hose connects to the
other end. It's loose in the hole. I don't know if it's just pressed in

My sons tj has JUST started showing some lower oil pressure readings.  It
has been a little over 40 at highway speeds, but now has dropped to around
32 or so. (This is after driving for awhile...the oil pressures drops as the
engine gets warmer...)  He has about 100,000 miles on ...
engine stalling at idle27 Mar 2005 19:56 GMT7
When I shift to neutral coming to an intersection or stop, my 4.0 FI
engine sometimes stalls out. It seems to have coincided with my
speedometer not working. Would that be a cause?
I disconnected the connector leading to the sensor/gear on the transfer
