I have a 76 Wagoneer that fouls plugs every 2-3 months. As soon as I change them, it runs like a champ for6 weeks, then slowly goes down hill over the next 6-8 weeks. I thought I had a carb problems (still might), so I replaced it last summer.

I called my dealer today, and found that the '94 YJ does not have a speedo cable. It has a speed sensor, which he says might be the reason the speedometer reads erratically, bounces around, and sometimes does not read at all.

went for a 300 mile trip over the mountains, this weekend, when i first got my 90YJ i was getting 21mpg, (300 miles a tank) 14gal. put in a power steering pump, gas milage went to 17mpg (around 250 a tank.)

now when this thing does start, i peiodicaly am geting very high revs, hitting the throttle does not kick it down, 25-3000 rpm, then it will eventualy slow down, 30-40 secs,

Alright here it is...... I have a 91 YJ w/ 4.0L manual and 166,--- miles on it. It has it's problems. The biggest one right now is a horrible gas smell. That the best i can describe it...I can't figure out what it is. I can only smell it with the window (s) open. All of em or just ...
