Moab Easter Jeep Safari22 Mar 2005 04:07 GMT4
Hope to see everyone this week in Moab. We're trailering over on Wed morning
& running trails through Sunday. Weather's looks to be typically iffy for
this time of year, can't wait to do Hell's Revenge on ice!
TJ Clutch22 Mar 2005 01:56 GMT2
Driving a 1999 TJ Sport 4.0L with about 42000miles.
The clutch pedal is usually quite stiff to push in, but after driving on the
highway for about 5-6 minutes the next time I push in the clutch pedal it is
smooth and easy, but each time after that it is stiff again.
1996 Cherokee Front End Noise22 Mar 2005 01:29 GMT4
I am lurker from way back...but found my way back here with a question.
I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L  AW4, 4x4 (pt time).
I have noticed that when making primarily Left turns under moderate to heavy
throttle I get a noise coming from the front end.  The noise sounds like a

Are these 2 the same? Distributer for 92 and 95 YJ 4 cylinder?
Found, now what?21 Mar 2005 21:01 GMT14
Well, the Jeep was recovered. (http://drive.to/hanks-jeep). The problem
is that it looks like the front axle is bent, and I don't think it's
worth trying to get repaired.
What does it look like to you guys on the board? If it is unfixable, and

Super Swamper tires21 Mar 2005 17:22 GMT10
Anyone have any good or bad experience with the Super Swamper tires?  The
ones I looked at were the Radial TSL.  The guy at 4 Wheel Parts said they
were pretty good on the street and great off-road, but they only last about
30k miles.   These are going on my 97 TJ.  I've ruled ...
4WD problems on '95 YJ21 Mar 2005 17:16 GMT7
I have a '95 Jeep Wrangler and I have been troubleshooting the four
wheel drive system lately. I can move the shift lever as it should, I
put a new transfer case vaccuum switch on it, I pulled all the vaccuum
lines and tested them, I do get vaccuum down to the motor itself and it

'99 Grand Cherokee Limited - high pitched whistle21 Mar 2005 12:52 GMT3
I need some assistance.  About a month ago, my JGC began to make a high
pitched whistling sound.  At first, it was intermittent and not very often.
Now, it occurs frequently and continues for several minutes, although it is
still intermittent.  The whistle seems to be coming from ...
YJ Transfercase vacuum switch21 Mar 2005 07:03 GMT9
I have a '95 Jeep YJ and I too cannot shift into 4wd. I vacuum tested
the shift motor and it seems to hold the vacuum. I changed the gear oil
in it today and cleaned the shift motor, still nothing. Then i read
about the vaccuum switch on the transfer case being the possible
266k Mile YJ21 Mar 2005 06:41 GMT3
Looking at another YJ. This one is from the original owner. It has 266,000
on the original 2.5L. He wants to trade it for my 89 Cherokee with 135,000.
The YJ is an 89, white, good condition, never wheeled, bone stock. My
Cherokee is an 89, 6cyl, 2" lift. He says the YJ isn't big ...
Performance and control issues with lifts what should I beware of?21 Mar 2005 06:18 GMT7
Yes, a inexperienced peson wanting a toy... I recently purchased a jeep
with a 2.5" skyjacker suspension lift 0.5" shackle lift and a 1" body
lift. My question is control and safety on highway driving. Someone had
told me that a shackle lift makes control an issue with a short base
CJ7 Windshield Wiper Problem21 Mar 2005 04:24 GMT14
76 CJ7
The people who installed my windshield put on one of my windshield wipers pointing the wrong direction.
In other words, the passenger side was pointing left (facing the vehicle) and the driver's side one was pointing right.
I didn't think too much about it because they seemed ...
Hardtop storage Question(s) - advice needed!21 Mar 2005 02:33 GMT4
I live in an apt with a 1.5 car garage. I have a few questions about
storing my hardtop from my 2005 Jeep Wrangler since warm weather is
approaching (cant wait!).
First, is it ok to store the hardtop on its side? I was thinking just
