Locked in 4W offroad06 Apr 2005 09:10 GMT13
I loaned my jeep (1999 XJ limited) to a friend who drove it to Wallmart
and back (about an hour total). The next time I drove it, she was
"locked" in 4WD, the kind that ain't supposed to be on dry pavement.
The person who dove it swore she never touched the shift lever, and the
Bill, I bet you know, Cuda D60??06 Apr 2005 08:58 GMT11
Yesterday on a Barett-Jackson auction from Palm Beach, Florida, they had a
'71 Cuda Hemi. They said it had a D60 w/4.10 gears and disc brakes from the
factory. Was this car's rear end an odity? It seems like with the wheel base
and lug pattern this would have made a perfect swap ...
AMC V8 rear main seal06 Apr 2005 03:58 GMT4
Hey Everyone,
After i finally got the last project done, i fired up the '82
Scrambler to get it out of the garage.  Now the 360's rear main seal
that was a slow leak turned into a gusher.  So last night i dropped the
Anyone from the Dallas, TX area?06 Apr 2005 03:56 GMT3
Who on this NG is in the DFW area?  Just wondering where folks are
meeting/wheeling around here.  I've been up to Marshall Creek before, but I
understand that they have closed off most of it to only 2 wheelers.  A guy
at the pool store the other day told me about a place near DFW ...

TJ Caster adjustment06 Apr 2005 02:45 GMT11
I have searched the web for any sites out there that detail how to adjust
caster on a lifted TJ.  But no luck so far.  Does anyone have a good site or
can you briefly 'splain it to me?  After lifting the TJ and getting an
alignment, it still wanders all over the road indicating ...
Need help in troubleshooting ignition problem 06 Apr 2005 02:31 GMT18
My 95 Grand Cherokee would not start today. It is not getting any ignition.
The engine turns over fine but there is no spark from spark plug wires or
from the coil. I've tested the coil with a ohmmeter and it checked out fine.
I replaced the distributor cap and rotor button, but ...
Green Weenie SUV ratings06 Apr 2005 02:25 GMT3
I think this may have some bearing on the demise of the I-6.  My wife's 04
WJ was the last year the I-6 was used and there is some hints of the I-6
demise in the TJs starting in 06.

XJ Brakes06 Apr 2005 01:21 GMT21
The brakes on my 89 Pioneer are getting pretty weak, even though when I
bought it about 4000 miles ago it had new pads/shoes all the way around. The
"Brake" light comes on when I push the brakes, usually if I push hard on the
pedal, but not always if I am realllly easy on the pedal. ...
Interesting Jeep in the woods05 Apr 2005 23:19 GMT8
This weekend I took my dog on a nice hike it the woods.  We went down an
old somewhat overgrown road we had never been down before.  After a
few minutes I noticed another road going off to one side and a couple of
old trucks covered with leaves and vines.  We walked back there ...
timing belt/chain05 Apr 2005 19:54 GMT8
I have had Honda's and Sunaru's for the past 20 years until recently when I
took over my daughters leased 2001 Grand Cherokee (which I love!!). With the
japanese cars there are those timing belts that need to be changed, does the
Jeep have it as well and does it need to be ...
