| Help removing flasher unit for directional. - 1990 Jeep Wrangler | 02 Apr 2005 23:17 GMT | 5 |
I'm having trouble removing the flasher unit for my directional signal on my 1990 Jeep Wrangler (by flasher I mean the cylindrical shaped switch mounted just above the fuse box) I assume it just pulls straight up, but it doesn't seem to want to budge and I'm afraid of breaking it.

| Uh oh | 02 Apr 2005 21:56 GMT | 26 |
What am I in for here? I have a '80 CJ5. I discovered last week that I can start it without a key, even when it's in the locked position. Is this something I'm going to get so pissed off at trying to replace it that I'm better off just doling it out, or is it relatively straight

| What is that thing on my ceiling? | 02 Apr 2005 21:13 GMT | 6 |
Ok, I've had my '88 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer for 5 years now and I have always been curious about this thing on the ceiling, just above where the windshield meets the cab-ceiling in the center. There is nothing about it in the manual, It is about 1" tall and 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 inches ...

| Vehicle inspection, 31" tires, speedo off by 10% | 02 Apr 2005 04:33 GMT | 4 |
I'm really not worried about changing the speedo gear to compensate for the larger tires, however, will the offset be a count against me for a vehicle state inspection (MD)? thanks

| Anybody run a header on the 2.5l 4cyl? | 02 Apr 2005 02:16 GMT | 6 |
Does anyone run or have you run in the past, a header on your 4 cylinder? I have a YJ with the infamous cracked exhaust manifold and I am debating between welding the crack to save some cash or just replacing the whole damned thing with one of those nice stainless Banks headers. ...

| alignment of new speed sensor | 01 Apr 2005 04:07 GMT | 3 |
I replaced the speed sensor, I no longer get a code 15 for No speed/distance sensor signal, however, I still don't have a output to my speedometer and I still stall when I'm in neutral while slowing down.

| D60 in an XJ | 01 Apr 2005 02:50 GMT | 3 |
A friend of mine has a 1980 Dodge Ramcharger with a bad transmission. It has a D60 rear, and a D44 front. Limited-slip in the rear, manual hubs up front. Is it reasonable to have these shortened to be installed on my 89 Cherokee after my next lift? (probably 6+" in the works).

I have a 1976 CJ7 Levi edition Jeep with the 304 V8 engine. It is in need of a overhall. The body needs to be totally sand blasted and repainted and I want to replace the engine. I am thinking of putting a remanufactured one in. The one I have uses 1 qt. every other tank

| Shaking TJ | 01 Apr 2005 01:04 GMT | 2 |
A friend has a TJ. It's a 97 4.0 with 124,000 miles. At high speeds if you give it alot of gas it won't shake but when you let off the gas it will start to shake via front end. Around 35 to 40 it will shake under normal/light acceleration.
