I have an '02 TJ. I am beginning to see rust beginning to form on the frame and some other components in the under-carriage. What is the best way to bring this to an end. Obviously sand off the rust, but what should I put on top to prevent reoccurrance. I know Rust-Oleum

I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 43,000 Km's 6 cyl power everything. The brakes will just fade to nothing and I am left with no brakes at all. This is the third time that this has happened to me. The first time the dealer told me that the pads were done up front and that it ...

| Jeep Grand Cherokee Radio problem | 18 Apr 2005 02:03 GMT | 5 |
I own a 1994 Grand Cherokee Larado with a factory cassette stereo. The stereo is the bas model, not the gold series Infinity system. The sound has bad when I play the radio and I thought maybe the tuner went bad, so I bought another identical stereo and the problem persists.

| window on cherokee just falls down | 18 Apr 2005 01:58 GMT | 5 |
I just pulled the driver side door panel off my 98 Cherokee to see why the window just falls down. The motor works as I can hear it running when I flick the switch on the door, but no window action. So I pulled out my 'sort of a manual' Haynes manual and of course

What is the "simple" way to wire the plug for a samll utility trailer? Brakes and turn signals only! Do I need to go into each rear light of the Jeep, or is there a ready made spot to splice into? Thanks,

| So, I do The Pinch Test | 17 Apr 2005 22:09 GMT | 5 |
Well. It is a beautiful day outside, and I decide to do some under the hood Jeep stuff. So I do the "pinch" test that Mike has recommended. As I'm touching the first hose, one falls into my hand, _with_ a bolt stuck in it!! Now I have no idea as to what is going on! Could it be that

After parting with my '97 Wrangler 4 years ago, I finally got a '05 Wrangler SE today and love it... When I was test driving it, the stereo didn't work because he said the fuse was taken out... Uh, ok, no big deal... When I left the dealership, the odometer said "no fuse", the ...

| Lifter noise...should I worry? | 16 Apr 2005 14:44 GMT | 9 |
It seems as though the only people that know about a 258 are in this group! If I go to the shop for _anything_ motor wise, I'm told about the blow-by (bad rings etc.). I'm guessing they're wanting to charge me for a rebuild?! Anywhoo, question is this. I'm starting (well have been),

I currently own a 79 Jeep Cj-5 and am looking to buy a 91-95 Wrangler in the next few months. I was wondering what sort of things should I look for on these Jeeps? Do they have any notorious problems? I understand that there are several different models avaliable (SE, Rio

I wanted to purchase a soft top to have a convertable over the summer for my 92YJ. I've always had a HT, so is not such a pain in the a.s to cover / uncover with a soft top ( I'm getting one that excludes the door covers since I have hard doors.
