Hi professors, When I'm traveling long distance on the highway and I hit a puddle I notice my TJ I6 looses power and slowly regains power and gets back up to speed in a matter of (I thinnk) several seconds. I say "I think"

| Now another lift quesiton.. | 27 May 2005 06:59 GMT | 16 |
The Rubicon Express site says that with thier standard 4" spring kit, I'll clear the 33x12.5's on my YJ no problem... A friend that installed the same kit said that he had to add a 2" body lift to clear. Who's right? If indeed the 4" spring kit isn't tall enough, can I add a 1" ...

Maybe, that's why you're so fearful, your buddies just blew away another civilian here in Vista, California, last night before he could raise his hands. Maybe you could lead by using your address and being listed in the phone book. Of course, if your back up is a pussy, then I

| TJ Pitman Arm Leak | 27 May 2005 06:22 GMT | 4 |
While my TJ is up on jackstands waiting for a reverse gear to arrive... I saw the other power-steering post, and it reminded me of my own leak. I've got a slow leak (1.5" diameter mark on the floor overnight) that appears to be coming from the steering box where the pitman arm

| Pinging 2004 Wrangler | 27 May 2005 03:47 GMT | 4 |
I have a 2004 Wrangler Sport with the I6 and find that it pings when under load, even when buying mid-range 88 octane fuel (the manual specifies 87 octane). There's no distributor, so I can't time it. The garage checked the computer and says it's fine and that I need to buy ...

| Engine Swap - pre 90 2.4L to 94 2.4L | 27 May 2005 03:20 GMT | 1 |
I'm ditching my 1990 2.4L engine and dropping in a 94 2.4L with less mileage. I am going to keep the 90 intake manifold since it is TBI and the 94 is MPI. I am noticing that some things such as the water pump are different. I was hoping for a simple bolt on and drive away. Has ...

Hi all. I have a 99 Jeep TJ, 160,000km. Recently, it has been giving me a bit of trouble when making sharp turns at low speeds. I try not to make sharp turns at high speeds :). Basically, the steering wheel gives pressure to swing back to the opposite side.

| 2.4L throttle body | 27 May 2005 02:48 GMT | 7 |
I have a 2003 4-cylinder TJ. From reading around in this group, it sounds like swapping the throttle body from the 6-cylinder TJs is a good way to gain power. The thing is that I can only find people talking about switching these from the 4.0L engine to the 2.5L engine.

I have a 97 Wrangler, lifted about 4 inches with 33x12.5x15 tires. It has 3.73 gears in a front dana 30 and rear dana 44. It is an almost daily driver. When I take it off-road, it is mostly mud with a few rocks every now and then. Both diffs are open. I would like to lock up ...

Any ideas ? Neither me nor my garage can see anything loose underneath, but my 94 Cherokee rattles from the rear underneath somewhere when I go over speed bumps, seems to be less annoying the faster I go over them
