AX15 Transmission Repair26 May 2005 07:21 GMT20
Hello..
I've got a 98 wrangler, with about 56k miles on it. Yesterday, I did a
not so smart thing, (something along the lines of a 2500rpm reverse
burnout... after a couple pops) and long-story short, in reverse, the
Water in heater??26 May 2005 03:25 GMT12
First let me say Hi All!  it's been a long time since I
visited!

OT, I know, but you guys know stuff26 May 2005 01:31 GMT5
This is wildly off-topic for RAMJ+W and my abject apologies are offered.
My address above is valid if you prefer to reply off-group.  I'm only
asking here because you guys know your stuff, I trust you and I don't do
this very often.

Does anyone have any recommendations for sources?
BJ's Off Road has them.  Does that sound like a good choice?  Just looking
to replace without raising etc.
Thanks,
Bestop Bikini25 May 2005 22:53 GMT13
For Christmas, I got a Bikini top, for my 98 Wrangler. I SHOULD have
opened it and checked it out when I got it. Unfortunately I got my
first look at it this past weekend, and found that I need the "retainer
channel" yet I can't find it on their website.
Part numbers for Grizzly wheel center caps?25 May 2005 21:57 GMT9
Not too long ago I found a set of dark grey Grizzly 15x7's for
my 2000 XJ... wouldn't you know it, one of the center caps
fell off.  Now I need a part number to go searching for...
worst part is, I'm not sure which year the wheels are.
Soft Top Zippers25 May 2005 21:35 GMT1
What's the best way to lube them.  I've heard that oil just
attracts dirt, as does silicone.
Some folks say wax doesn't help - The local Jeep dealer was
clueless when I asked about

87 Wrangler Fuel System Issues25 May 2005 21:26 GMT4
Has anybody had experience with aftermarket or modifications to make the
fuel sender/gauge accurate in these things? I've had my sender replaced,
but when my tank gets below 1/2 full the gauge starts to bounce and is
otherwise EXTREMELY innacurate. I've had this exact problem ...
Tyre Pressures25 May 2005 20:54 GMT6
Hi everyone I need some advice, I have just fitted a new set of BF Goodrich
T/As 235/70/16 to my 2002 Cherokee (Liberty) and I unsure of the tyre
pressures for them. Will they be the same as the Wranglers I have just wore
out, which were 33psi or can any one tell me what they are ...

98 TJ problems25 May 2005 04:42 GMT7
Have a really weird problem coming home from Death Valley while on vacation.

Ford 8.8 Dino Gear and not Synth25 May 2005 00:43 GMT4
Well.. I found out today that I had put 85w-140 gear oil in my Ford 8.8 when
I found a tag that had broken off that says to use Synth 75w-140 only on
it.. I only put 200 miles on the rear diff... When I had opened it up
everything looked fine.. The ring gear didn't even show any ...
CCV grommet24 May 2005 21:00 GMT4
I have an 05 Wrangler 4.0 (2500 miles).  It seems to be sweating some oil
out of the CCV grommet at the fromt of the valve cover (the one that goes
to the breather).  I had to have the Jeep in the dealership for a soft top
leak, so I had them check the valve cover; they said it was ...
