I have decided to get a winch for my wrangler. I am going to use it to pull myself out of the mud and sand. I know squat about winches and would greatly appreicate any advise you could offer in deciding on what to get. I would rather rely on this group than a salesman.

I bought a year-old wrangler a couple of weeks ago. I've been having fun learning stick all over again, driving on roads that aren't exactly roads anymore, and all that. The jeep is a new toy I've been looking forward to for a while.

What is different between an open diff Dana 44 - 30 spline axle and a Trac-Lok diff Dana 44 - 30 spline axle? I am interested in purchasing the Powertrax No-Slip traction system for my 2000 Wrangler and I see that they have two different part numbers for open vs.

My 88 Yj has its original engine (2.5L) and all nothing has ever been replaced. It gets about 8 mpg i had found that the header was loose and cracked if i replace it how much mpg improvement can i expect if any. And any sugjestions on what brand replacements are best?

Hey all, when my 97 jeep tj (5spd manual) is cold, it's hard to shift from 1st to 2nd and vice versa. Once it's warmed up a bit, it shifts alot easier. Any ideas?

i'm confused. all the instructions for my wrangler unlimited refer to removal of the doors (and folding the windshield down) being for "off-road only". having spent 14 years in the army, i fully support the windshield
