| Auto Parts Places and Stupidity | 11 Jun 2005 00:50 GMT | 22 |
Has any one else noticed this? All the independents are gone and all the auto parts stores are chain owned. And they tend to hire stupid people exclusively. They must have some secret test for intelligence in hiring and employ

| Just put on a new top... | 10 Jun 2005 21:10 GMT | 1 |
You know, for only $280, this Outland top (full steel doors and tinted rear window curtains) isn't bad at all. I don't suppose it's the best quality but it looks pretty nice. One question... anyone else have a hell of a time getting a new top to

| Some miserable SOB got my gas again! | 10 Jun 2005 04:15 GMT | 36 |
Damn it, this is the 3rd or 4th time this year I have only had enough gas left in the tank to start it and back out of the driveway when it up and dies. That fast spin up after die that means no gas.

| any opinions on the Rubicon "Unlimited" | 10 Jun 2005 03:48 GMT | 9 |
Commentary in this room helped me a lot last year when I was choosing a barbeque grill (coal truly is the way to go), so I'm hoping to get a little input on the purchase of a Rubicon Unlimited. My Jeep experience thus far has been a '90 YJ 4.0L, a '95 YJ 2.5L, and a '96

| Pop-up Camper with 99 TJ | 10 Jun 2005 03:05 GMT | 8 |
I am sorry for the confusion most of it brought on by my vauge post. I am wondering if a 99 TJ 4-cyl 5 speed 2.5 would pull a pop-up camper? I am in the midwest and have no plans to go thru the mountains or anything like that. Mostly Interstate traveling and occasionally rolling ...

| No Speedo after Transmission Repair | 09 Jun 2005 22:32 GMT | 19 |
Well I finally got my 98 TJ back together the other night, after having the transmission & transfer-case out and have no speedo now. I checked the speedometer connection on the transfer-case, looks good, took it off, put it back on.. Jiggled wires, nothing. I'm going to look at the

| Replaced my TJ with same... back on the NG | 09 Jun 2005 16:59 GMT | 4 |
Greetings all, I have been away from this newsgroup for a couple years as other interests (motorcycling) took me in other directions. I recently replaced my 97 TJ SE (an early one... came off the production line Mar'96) with exactly the same

| Bike Racks | 09 Jun 2005 12:10 GMT | 7 |
I am thinking of getting a bike rack for my TJ. The thing is, I installed a new bumper which removes the tire on the back door and goes on a swing out carrier. So, my option are I find a rake that goes in front of the jeep or behind. But if I put it behind, Man that's going to be ...

| Locker abuse | 09 Jun 2005 12:03 GMT | 44 |
Well, I've had my front ARB a few weeks now. Yesterday, I actually needed it for the first time. I was climbing a steep rock hill. And so, naturally, I just busted my first front axle U-joint. I bought a H-D replacement - but hopefully this won't make some more expensive part

| Fuel Gauge Issue | 09 Jun 2005 06:37 GMT | 3 |
Well I was in town after 237 miles on my 1988 Wrangle and all of a sudden I hear the electric fuel pump caviating. I look at my fuel guage and it says I have 1/4 of a tank left. So I think all is well, but I pull into a station anyway. It takes 15 gallons + 1 more to top this ...
