| "over-run" brakes? | 07 Jun 2005 19:56 GMT | 15 |
While perusing a Land Rover web page, I noticed that the towing capacity of a Defender 90 is similar to that of a Jeep's except when using a trailer with "over-run" brakes, in which case the towing capacity is about 7,700 lbs (3,500 kgs).

| Bill, Mike, got links? | 07 Jun 2005 08:37 GMT | 1 |
The Amsoil cult is having another debate on one of my motorcycle groups, fueled by "feelings" and salesmen's claims. Got any good links for hard data? Most searches come up with propaganda.

| anyone make these? (accessory question) | 07 Jun 2005 05:07 GMT | 3 |
OK, so I have an '80 CJ5. I've been looking at the ol' Quadratec Summer catalog I just got, and I see those mesh bikini tops (now called "briefs," did bikini become politically incorrect, or did they think they'd fool us?)--anyway, I see them for Wranglers and the like,

| Slightly OT: Bolt pattern sizes for sifferent vehicles | 07 Jun 2005 02:45 GMT | 2 |
Maybe one of you guys has a link for this, but I am looking for a chart online somewhere that gives the factory bolt patterns for different vehicles. We run demo derbies and end up with a lot of bent rims, and we are looking for donor cars with the right bolt pattern. Any ideas?

| Fan Clutch Replacement? | 06 Jun 2005 22:04 GMT | 4 |

| 6 or 4 cylinders for the wrangler ? | 06 Jun 2005 08:52 GMT | 19 |
Over here in old Europe ;)) wrangler jeeps are sold either with the 2.4 four cylinder or the 4.0 six cylinder engine. Due to the high price of gas i'm enclined for the 2.4 version but the retailer told me it does not worth it compared to the 4.0 !

| '89 YJ engine | 06 Jun 2005 02:56 GMT | 3 |
I think the time to make a decision has come. My son's YJ has a rather loud ticking noise coming from the top end. Without even attempting any diagnostics, I am figuring burned valve, bad lifter, flat cam lobe, or something similar. I was thinking about R/R the head (if the problem ...
