I just rebuild an old CJ7 85 258 cyl. After 5-6 hours of running on idle I shut the engine for a week. After a week, I started the jeep and it start empty the engine oil through the filter. I shut the engin, remove, clean and put back the oil filter and

My jeep idles around 700 rpm in neutral. When I pump the brake pedal several times quickly the rpm picks up about 300 rpm (to about 1000). I've had it a couple years and its always done it.

I've posted this a bunch of times but haven't gotten a response. I'll try again. My mirrors keep moving now. Both of them fold in at highway speeds. Is this normal when they get old? Should I just buy new ones? --Brian

The Jeep: 48000mi 2001 Cherokee Sport, 4.0L Auto. The Incident: Driving along, suddenly there's engine light, followed by check guages light, accompanied by ticking from top end and no oil pressure reading on the guage.

Has anyone had sucess eliminating Jeep TJ RF noise? Specifically, year 2000 or later? I grounded the tail pipe to the frame, installed .1uF bypass caps on the fuel pump lead (to ground) and am still experiencing noise on 2m/70cm. The bypass cap helped eliminate some noise, but ...

Guys, I found this site while surfing. I hope it's ok to post because these rides are for sale but there are so many Willys / Jeeps starting from 1953 I only hear others speak of and have never seen. My favorite is the 1954 Yellow Highboy with Red accents. Many cars are restored

As I understand it, the origin of people putting bells on motorcycles and Jeeps comes from Jeepers awarding a cowbell to one of their group who has rolled on the trail, both as a badge of honor, and a warning to others. I was awarded by bell by older friends a long time ago.
