Tire pressure?18 Aug 2005 03:18 GMT3
O.K On my 05Rubicon it says to have the tire pressure
at 33 psi, is this when it's cold (before driving) or
hot (after a few miles)? Thinking of doing the chalk
test for kicks. How should I go about it?
Opinions on new vehicle break-in period18 Aug 2005 03:15 GMT3
Anyone have any opinions on this website, which says to run your brand new
vehicle HARD for the first 20 or so miles to  better seat the rings.  This
contradicts the "drive it gently" for the first 500 miles that most owner's
manuals recommend.

On a 83 CJ with the 258 what does the computer control besides the stepper
motor on the back of the carter carb?  My stepper is not even connected,
what is the nutter bypass going to change?   Also attempt #2 at getting the

1996 Cherokee Sport door panel removal17 Aug 2005 05:01 GMT4
The automatic door lock on the rear driver side door does not operate
smoothly (takes a few tries with the door lock switch) and I'd like to
remove the door panel to see if I can clean up the mechanism and spray
it with some lube.  So far I've done:

2.5L backfires16 Aug 2005 20:01 GMT7
The 2.5L in my 89 YJ has been backfiring for a while. When cold, it idles
smooth and runs fine. When hot the idle can drop as low as about 5-600rpms,
but sometimes is smooth. Sometimes it will backfire on deceleration. This is
only usually if you downshift to slow down. The ...
Need help recharging the AC on a 97 Jeep Cherokee Sport16 Aug 2005 07:49 GMT17
Can anyone instruct me or point me to a website that can give me
pointers on recharging the AC system in my Sport?  I've read that it
uses the R132a that you can buy just about anywhere.  However, I'm not

Never Ever a "Delco"  (was Head Gaskets)16 Aug 2005 07:28 GMT2
My "head gasket problem' is now solved.  My 86XJ Cherokee (340K mi) has
a 2.8L .  I chose the 2.8L because of good fuel economy on long highway
travel.  I was in a 'rush' to rebuild 'last time' so I bought a
