Wrangler 97-05 seatbelts?15 Aug 2005 23:38 GMT2
Hello all, I'm looking for a picture of the buckle from a 97-05 Jeep
Wrangler seatbelt. If approximate measurements could accompany the
picture, that would be absolutely outstanding.
I'm trying to get a close match with seatbelts from the now out of
transmission neutral coasting15 Aug 2005 17:40 GMT6
I like to put my transmission in neutral while I'm coasting down the west
side of Snoqualmie Pass.  It's about a five mile coast, then the car slows
down to below 60 MPH when I then shift back into drive.  Is this good or bad
for the transmission?

Need advice re. buying a used XJ15 Aug 2005 06:02 GMT9
I'm thinking of buying a used Jeep Cherokee and needed some advice. I'm
leaning towards a 1997 or later model (airbags and the improved console
would be nice). I needed some advice:
1. I'm primarily concerned about reliability. It won't be a daily driver but
Jeep TJ rear upper arms adjustment15 Aug 2005 05:00 GMT3
I put on my adjustable upper rear control arms today to get my pinion angle
fixed up, and I guessed the length...  It needs to be just a little bit more
up, so I gotta lengthen the arms.
Anyways my question is will I be able to do this while the wheels are on the
CJ or Wrangler?15 Aug 2005 03:08 GMT4
I have a 1987 Jeep. There seems to be some confusion amongst the repair
folks whether the thing is a CJ7 or a Wrangler. Seems everytime I buy parts
for a 1987, it is always the wrong part.
Can I tell via the VIN number what it is? Is there another way?
2001 JGC - coolant change = radiator fan stopping14 Aug 2005 16:38 GMT20
I was hoping someone can help. I went to get my radiator coolant
changed at a shop and when I came back I knew there was a problem
because my car hood was up. The service guy asked me if I ever had the
engine overheating and I said never. He said well, it's overheating at
91 XJ: Checking rear diff and gotchas/advice13 Aug 2005 23:10 GMT1
I'm going to change out the rear diff oil, I've got plenty of trac-loc
additive. What should I check while I have the rear diff cover off? Look for
metal particles in the oil? Anything else?

Well... despite lots of sites praising the grippyness of
these tires I can say for absolute certain: If your after
a performance (mostly on road tire), these are not what you
05 Dual top wiper problem13 Aug 2005 15:46 GMT6
I just picked up an 05 Unlimited dual top and the rear wiper is
scraping the rear brake light plastic.  Does anyone know what would
cause this?   Do I need to remove the soft top rails?  It does not seem
like lowering the top the extra 1/8 inch would do it.  I took off the
Gear beak in?13 Aug 2005 04:53 GMT16
I finally took the dive and had 4.88s installed in my TJ.  I've tried to
figure out the best break-in procedure, but everyone seems to have their own
opinion... and you know what they say about opinions...
So, what do you all recommend?  Any of this based on actual experience?

Which jeep to buy13 Aug 2005 03:06 GMT11
I am thinking of buying a mid 90s used full size 4x4 with a towing package.  Not sure which year yet but thinking between 98 and 94.  Couple of questions.
When did Jeep quit using R-12 and start using R-134 in the airconditioner.
Where are the critical points where Jeeps rust?
