Cherokee Model Query26 Sep 2005 16:09 GMT24
I've been considering the purchase of a 4WD for winter use and general
hauling/towing of small utility trailers throughout the year.  Because
of fuel consumption and quality of build, I've been considering Toyota
and Honda.  But further investigation has pulled me around to Jeep.
Jeep TJ 97 Radio and Cassette26 Sep 2005 00:15 GMT26
I got a second hand TJ 97 which includes the standard Chrysler/Jeep
Radio-Cassette. I said Chrysler because I remember that when I bought my
Chrysler (in Spain is Chrysler) Neon 1998 comes with one of those huge
radios and I asked the dealer to change it free of charge by a ...

Correct backlash specs for a DANA 3525 Sep 2005 14:32 GMT5
Anyone know the backlash specs for a DANA 35 rear diff (OEM stock axle
on '98 TJ)?  I'm replacing the carrier assembly and carrier bearings
only.  Would like to set backlash somewhat close to spec before fine
tuning with shims.

92 2.5 trouble code help25 Sep 2005 01:40 GMT4
I just got a 92 Wrangler last night. After starting the check engine light
is off at idle, touch the gas and it comes on and stays on. The codes I am
getting are 12, 33, 24 and 55. I haven't bought a manual yet and don't trust
it to drive to Advance or Auto Zone so I wondered if ...
BBD carb 24 Sep 2005 15:02 GMT4
My BBD started leaking down a few weeks ago; runs really rich at idle,
lots of run on, need to crank for 45 seconds for a cold start. I took
the top off after driving it, floats were hanging down within an hour. I
presume that it's leaking through the ball check valve on the

I didn't mean to infer anything negative with my comment about running for

replies) that was about to be opened.
2 stroke gas in a 2.5 TJ?24 Sep 2005 04:19 GMT13
Ok, so with gas prices through the roof I'm eyeing all my premixed
snowmobile, chainsaw, and outboard gas sitting in the garage and figure
what the heck. My question is, if I dilute it by only adding a gallon or
2 and then top off the tank with regular gas will it hurt anything? ...
05 TJ - strange shifting from 1st to 2nd23 Sep 2005 20:00 GMT3
Back in May I replaced my '97 TJ SE (4 cyl, manual transmission) with the
same model but 2005. I am aware that some things have changed mechanically
(e.g., engine, gearbox) between the two vehicles.
One thing I notice is that it is an "awkward" shift from 1st to 2nd. If you

Help with Crank Position Sensor - 89 Jeep Cherokee LTD23 Sep 2005 05:45 GMT24
I'm hoping that someone can offer advice on this....
I have a 1989 Jeep Cherokee LTD.
I've often wondered if the CPS is weak.  I know that there are regular
reports of faulty CPS that lead to a no-start condition in jeeps of the
