Need Alternative to Gear Marking Compound22 Sep 2005 15:35 GMT4
I'm setting my ring and pinion gears in the rear differential.  Can't
seem to find gear marking compound at any of the local shops.  Any good
substitute?  I've heard maybe white lithium grease but may be too thick.
 How about homemade recipies?

or 258 Jeep engine, has anyone put a Slant Six in a Jeep out there?
PS question21 Sep 2005 14:34 GMT14
About a week back, I noticed a (new) small drip on the driveway.
Couple of days later, the PS fluid was a little low.  Pulled the MJ
into the garage to repair a bit of tree rash on the fender and found a

Rear Brakes lock up...21 Sep 2005 05:43 GMT11

times I apply the brakes.  They are even more 'sensitive' when it's damp
outside.
Anyone know the cause?

'91' XJ: disconnecting fan relay a good idea?20 Sep 2005 19:44 GMT5
I've got problems w/the anti-theft BS in my Cherokeet. It's throwing false
alarms. It's funny how it only goes off at 3:00 a.m. So far I haven't caught
anyone breaking into the vehicle (which is parked in the street). My
neighbors won't put up with it much longer so I'm going to ...
TJ jeep hinge bushing20 Sep 2005 05:47 GMT2
The bushing inside the female part of the door hing on my 2002 TJ is
gone.  When I put my hard doors on, the other doors ripped part of it
out.  So I removed it all. But the dealer does not sell the bushing, it
sells only the comple hinge.  Is there a trick or something I can use
