Extreme Liberty Offroading.... (video)18 Sep 2005 07:01 GMT20
Who says the stock LiBerty isn't a "real" Jeep when it comes to
off-roading?

Get real milerage on a 97 Jeep Wrangler18 Sep 2005 02:16 GMT11
I just got a '97 Jeep Wrangler and I suspect that the milerage counter (it's
digital on this model) has been cheated. It marks 58000 kilometers (yeah
metric system) but I think the car has about 140000 kilometers.
There is anyway to find out the real milerage? I was thinking if ...
Jeep is running...again  :)18 Sep 2005 02:10 GMT8
Hello group,
I wrote recently claiming how my repair shop told me that my jeep engine was
toast.  The chronic overheating at the oddest times was too much they
thought.  I left it at the repair shop parking lot for a few weeks.  I
Loud whirring noise in rear diff17 Sep 2005 21:49 GMT9
Got a 98 TJ, all stock.  Lately, my rear differential has been making a
loud whirring noise, and seems to be getting progressively louder.  I
changed the diff oil and it was real cruddy- silver/gray in appearance.
Put in fresh diff oil but the sound is still there.  What's ...
93 ZJ staring problem17 Sep 2005 16:16 GMT4
my 93 ZJ (inline 6) seems to have a starting problem at times.
When the engine is cold it seems to start without a problem. After I
drive it for 10 mins or so and start it again it doesn't seem to want to
start. (when it is running it seems to run fine).

Mike Romain or anyone else? Instrument Panel Grounding Screw location?17 Sep 2005 13:16 GMT4
I am trying to find this screw mentioned in this posting and the
recall.. I think it may be my problem because I have checked
everything else. Still no blowing on highest setting.
Any advice on where to locate the screw. I have removed the panel
O2 sensor?  89 YJ17 Sep 2005 11:28 GMT4
OK, another question. During idle the stepper motor is constantly moving
the needle in and out adjusting the mixture to the point of nearly
stalling and back again. Could this be the result of a bad O2 sensor?
Also I have a couple of vacuum ports on the carb that are not ...
Weird Jeeps?17 Sep 2005 03:30 GMT2
Here's a couple of strange ones I saw today. The first one, I'll let you
guess for a day what it is, the second is a pickup with a "superhurricane" 6
cut off and welded to a trailer. It is front wheel drive and has electric
rear brakes.
Rotating tires  --  Procomp directional treads16 Sep 2005 23:53 GMT26
Hey guys,
Love my new 31" Procomp XT's...lookin meaner than those sissy stock tires ;)
Anyhow, I'm coming up to a mileage point where I should rotate tires.
I'd like to bring in my spare too....but seeing as the front left tire would
Odd noise?16 Sep 2005 23:03 GMT6
My recently purchased 88 Cherokee 4.0 automatic, 4x4 makes a chirping noise
like a tree frog from the front that starts when I get to about 35 MPH. It
does it in drive (OD) or in 3rd. It makes the noise as long as I have my
foot on the gas. As soon as I let off it goes away.
Heep revival....16 Sep 2005 19:54 GMT8
I am about to resurrect my Heep after sitting for a year, due to
multiple issues.  This list is both to ask questions/opinion and for me
to document what I am going to do.
Soon to be fixed:

ujoints16 Sep 2005 14:25 GMT1
Well, i'm gonna take out my cv driveshaft this weekend and chase down that
sqeeking noise I get while driving.  I bought a c clamp tool for pressing
out the ujoints, and the special pliers to remove the snap rings or whatever
they're called...  I even have the factory service ...
