| Get real milerage on a 97 Jeep Wrangler | 18 Sep 2005 02:16 GMT | 11 |
I just got a '97 Jeep Wrangler and I suspect that the milerage counter (it's digital on this model) has been cheated. It marks 58000 kilometers (yeah metric system) but I think the car has about 140000 kilometers. There is anyway to find out the real milerage? I was thinking if ...

| Jeep is running...again :) | 18 Sep 2005 02:10 GMT | 8 |
Hello group, I wrote recently claiming how my repair shop told me that my jeep engine was toast. The chronic overheating at the oddest times was too much they thought. I left it at the repair shop parking lot for a few weeks. I

| Loud whirring noise in rear diff | 17 Sep 2005 21:49 GMT | 9 |
Got a 98 TJ, all stock. Lately, my rear differential has been making a loud whirring noise, and seems to be getting progressively louder. I changed the diff oil and it was real cruddy- silver/gray in appearance. Put in fresh diff oil but the sound is still there. What's ...

| 93 ZJ staring problem | 17 Sep 2005 16:16 GMT | 4 |
my 93 ZJ (inline 6) seems to have a starting problem at times. When the engine is cold it seems to start without a problem. After I drive it for 10 mins or so and start it again it doesn't seem to want to start. (when it is running it seems to run fine).

| O2 sensor? 89 YJ | 17 Sep 2005 11:28 GMT | 4 |
OK, another question. During idle the stepper motor is constantly moving the needle in and out adjusting the mixture to the point of nearly stalling and back again. Could this be the result of a bad O2 sensor? Also I have a couple of vacuum ports on the carb that are not ...

| Weird Jeeps? | 17 Sep 2005 03:30 GMT | 2 |
Here's a couple of strange ones I saw today. The first one, I'll let you guess for a day what it is, the second is a pickup with a "superhurricane" 6 cut off and welded to a trailer. It is front wheel drive and has electric rear brakes.

| Odd noise? | 16 Sep 2005 23:03 GMT | 6 |
My recently purchased 88 Cherokee 4.0 automatic, 4x4 makes a chirping noise like a tree frog from the front that starts when I get to about 35 MPH. It does it in drive (OD) or in 3rd. It makes the noise as long as I have my foot on the gas. As soon as I let off it goes away.
