Thought I would jump in and introduce myself. I'm located in west Tennessee, only been here a couple of years though. After about ten years of driving Mustangs traded off my 98 Cobra drop top for a 2005 Liberty Limited 4x4 .

'98 TJ 6-cyl, all stock, dana35: My rear diff is making a loud whining sound at all speeds, particularly when coasting (when clutch is disengaged) and appears to be getting worse. My daughter commented this AM on the way to school it sounds

when refering the "blacklash" in regards to a rearend, is the the set distance between teh ring and pinion? what is it exactly. Stupid question im sure.

I have a chance to get a 4.2 from an 89 Wrangler to replace my tired 258 in my '79 CJ-7. Will that bolt up to the T5 I currently have? ( I know I should replace it while I am at it but limited budget dictates)

The emissions control sticker under the hood is missing. Can someone tell me what the baseline timing is? It's something at 1600 rpm but I can't find that info. Also, any tips on adjusting timing for maximum fuel efficiency?

I did it! I went and bought the 76 CJ-5 ive been bugging you guys about lately. Rust seems minimal..yayyyy. I compression checked the cylinders on the 258... from the fan back it got.. 110..90...100...85...80...95
