Best way to work a trade deal for a TJ?12 Oct 2005 16:50 GMT14
I want to establish a price on a new Wrangler Sport at the dealer, and
then work the price on my trade (98 Sport with low miles).
Should I offer them say, $200 over invoice and then bargain my vehicle

body removal12 Oct 2005 03:21 GMT3
I was wondering if it is safe/practical to remove the whole fibergalss
body(tub/fenders/hood/grill) as one piece?  I don't have access to a
lift, but I do have a tractor, so weight really is not an issue.  I just
ask as I have never seen this done before, always seen the front ...

Any advice or proceedures before I try and start a 2 year dormant

Sporadic malfuntion of the Tach and Speedmeter12 Oct 2005 02:42 GMT4
Ever so often when started the Tach and Speedo do not function,  the needles
stay on zero.  The really strange part is that if I flip the rear defroster
switch on and off they start working?  This a 1997 Sport 4.0 ltr with hard
top.  Any ideas would be appriciated.

occurs from 90 to 100km then stops.  There is a vibration in the gas
pedal and seat.  I want to remove the rear drive shaft and take the
jeep out to see if this is the problem.  Is it safe to drive with out
Jeep Liberty Transmission11 Oct 2005 22:50 GMT10
Hello... Is it normal for the automatic transmission in the Liberty to
drop into the passing gear with a noticeable lurch?  ...I'm used to
vehicles that when they change gears, it's a smooth process -- where one
gear flows into the next.  ...This condition is most noticeable when ...
How to bleed clutch slave cyl, 94 Wrangler ??11 Oct 2005 21:47 GMT6
My 94 Wrangler ( ~150,000 miles) recently got hard to shift. In
particular, I sometimes have to turn the engine off to get into
reverse.  So I checked around, and I found that the fluid level in the
master clutch cylinder was VERY low. But the problem did not go away
A/C Compressor on 1998 Cherokee11 Oct 2005 19:32 GMT2
We have a 1998 Cherokee with a tempermental A/C system.  It seems the
clutch doesn't engage even when the wire to it is hot.  I'm used to working
on Fords where the low pressure switch is in parallel with the clutch so
that if the refrigerant is low, it shuts off the compressor.  ...

Wanted.... original RAMJ+W hat11 Oct 2005 12:04 GMT13
My 6 or 7 year old RAMJ+W hat has shrunk so much from repeated washings
that it's more like a beanie than a hat now.
Someone here recently posted that they still had a few extras of those
ORIGINAL design hats, is that person still around and if so, would you
