| Oh, no! Not the bad clutch slave again ! | 06 Nov 2005 00:02 GMT | 15 |
Here we go again. Am I crazy or what? (don't answer that.) On the jeeps I've owned there have been MANY repairs to the clutch hydraulic slave cylinders. I have been told repeatedly by different people that this is a thorn in the side and to more or less live with it. I'd MUCH rather ...

| MSNBC Poll | 05 Nov 2005 19:58 GMT | 4 |
MSNBC has an "offroading in National Parks" poll going, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9900937 It's a poorly worded poll, I don't think we should be allowed to offroad everywhere in every park, but voted yes anyway to tweak them.

Head on crash with a Geo Prizm on the way home from work tonight. Totaled the Prizm, luckily the three kids in the Geo walked away. I drove the YJ home thanks to a substantial brush guard. Steve

| Lifted Libby | 04 Nov 2005 23:10 GMT | 23 |
I saw a Libby in a parking lot this evening, it had aprox a 4-5" lift on it. Also Bigger and more agressive tires. Suprisingly, it didnt look half bad like that. Granted a nice splash of mud here and there would have done a lot for it too...

| TJ lift - LCA's | 04 Nov 2005 18:54 GMT | 1 |
My TJ has a ~3" 4WDH lift. Currently the rear OEM LCA's are used. When I first got the Jeep (lift already installed by PO), there was slight vibration (hard top on at this time). This past summer when I put the soft top and half doors on the vibration went away. Now that the ...

| First automatic | 04 Nov 2005 14:14 GMT | 37 |
My new Grand Cherokee Limited (the one with all the trick differentials) is my first automatic, and I'm baffled by the shifting program (of the complete lack of one) in 4L. I'm no off-road expert, but I've driven lots of trucks off road for work and

| 96 XJ - clunk when starting only after moderately quick stop | 04 Nov 2005 01:52 GMT | 3 |
My 96 XJ (145K miles) produces strong clunk upon initial acceleration after a moderately quick stop. The quicker the stop, the stronger the clunk. It does not do this after normal conservative braking. The drive shaft U-joints are nice and tight. Nothing appears to be loose ...

| 1999 Grand Cherokee Headlamp Assembly Replacement | 03 Nov 2005 22:06 GMT | 2 |
I gave up and actually bought two new headlamp assemblies due to the old lenses becoming opaque. Replacement is simple except that the wiring harness to the assembly disappears through an opening below the assembly and goes who knows where. I guess I could disconnect all the ...
