Thanks for all the public and direct e-mail advice on the Liberty
tires.  (Note: I'm sending this from a new gmail account 'cause I got
fet up with stupid Yahoo ads.)  Since I'll be stationed in the RAINY
United Kingdom for a few years I'm giving up on the selection of

Hello, I have a 91 wrangler i have owned for a few weeks,  we took it
in the mountains for the first time last weekend first time to "test "
the 4wd, in high range it acts like it 'slips' for a fraction of a
second every 100 feet or so on snow or ice, it doesn't do it in low

Looking for advice on new Liberty tires.24 Nov 2005 03:17 GMT18
Hi.  I'm currently posted overseas with Uncle Sam, and I'm sick of the
stock Goodyear Wrangler ST 215 75R16's.  For the next few years the
jeep will be spending 99% of it's time on city streets and highways,
and I need something good in wet and rainy conditions.  The stock tires
Radiators - Arrrrggghhh24 Nov 2005 01:58 GMT6
97 TJ I6 Auto AC
Finally getting around to putting in the radiator I bought a couple of
months ago.  The manual says to unbolt the shroud and pull out.  How do
you do this without bending the fan blades?  But thats a minor

used winch help24 Nov 2005 01:40 GMT2
I'm buying a used warn winch, is there a fuse or anything that goes
between winch and battery or is it just direct hookup. Want to test winch
but don't want to fry it if there is supposed to be something between. 8274
model if that matters.
FSJ D44s in a TJ?24 Nov 2005 00:40 GMT8
Here's the deal:
1. I am picking up a set of D44s from an 81 Cherokee tomorrow. For free.
2. They have 4.56s (so the owner thinks...). Also have new brakes, drum to
drum, new brake lines, etc.
XJ Gauge Swap ...24 Nov 2005 00:11 GMT1
I have a '91 cherokee sport with the 4.0 L motor.  It has the idiot light
gauge cluster.
I just bought a '95 gauge cluster with tach, etc.
Now ... I have to buy new senders for oil pressure and water temp.
1993 JGC Speedometer dead but fuel economy compuation still works23 Nov 2005 22:55 GMT2
The speedometer on my '93 Jeep Grand Cherokee started getting jittery and
now is permanently at zero.  However, the trip comuter is still computing
fuel economy correctly so vehicle speed is presumably still making it
to the trip computer.

I know it's a 195 therm  but during the winter it never goes over 150
and I have no heat what so ever.  I not the most mechinaclly inclined
but if I was given some direction I could probally figure it out.
LED brake lights with reflective bases23 Nov 2005 12:14 GMT3
LED's have been discussed before, but I can't find any one that makes a LED
4" tail light / brake light that uses a reflective base.  What happens when
you forget to turn on your head lights and no one can see the back of your
jeep because there is nothing reflective?   Someone ...
1984 CJ-7 23 Nov 2005 00:35 GMT1
I've had one week to survey my wife's CJ-7.  Other than being a rolling rust
bucket, with nothing that works right, it ain't got no problems at all.  The
first challenge is to find out why the cloth doors don't fit, or latch, onto
the jagged piece of metal acting as a door latch ...
