Death wobble?20 Nov 2005 01:53 GMT2
All,
Last night I was on the freeway when I hit a sizeable pothole on a curve
doing about 60 MPH.  Suddenly, my '82 Scrambler starts vibrating like one
of the wheels is held on by a single poorly tightened lugnut.  As I
Littl help on after-market cruise control19 Nov 2005 22:01 GMT4
My son brought his 91 XJ (4.0 l) over this afternoon for "a little
help" installing an after market cruise control.  I showed him the
gargage and went back to my coffee.  By supper time, he was to the
point of needing to hook up 2 wires: the tach and/or the tach/VSS.
CJ taillight not fused?19 Nov 2005 21:41 GMT5
Trying to troubleshoot a sudden electrical problem on my 83 CJ-7.   Is it
common for the tail lights / park lights to not be on a fuse?   With all of
the fuses pulled I still get tail lights.   Something has been draining the
battery, and I suspect it is being drained even with ...

intermittent wipers19 Nov 2005 14:35 GMT8
Well, actually, they don't like to work when it's cold or wet.
And they don't return to park by themselves.
Motor connections or what?
Can the non-intermittent switch be replaced with an intermittent one,

repair driver's seat?19 Nov 2005 05:24 GMT2
My son's 95 YJ driver seat back appears to have broken, or at least
seriously mangled ... the back won't stay vertical and leans way WAY back
... any hints or tips on disassembly and possible repair, or is the junk
yard or aftermarket the best bet for this?
Heated Seat Cushions?19 Nov 2005 02:26 GMT3
I'm looking for a heated seat cushion (12v).
The ones I see online are holistically designed to magnetically enhance
my metabolism and provide soothing massage. I just want to keep my butt
warm.
YJ heater question prt. II19 Nov 2005 01:04 GMT12
Would there be any negative implications to 'capping' the passenger side
heat duct?
90% of the time I drive alone and it has gotten to that time of year when
getting a little extra heat helps.
Daystar Poly MML - vibrations are now annoying18 Nov 2005 23:56 GMT13
Hi everybody, I had done the 1" MML last year and for some reason or the
other ended up with Daystar MML which has the poly urethane bushing.  Extra
vibrations were initially okay, but now they are getting on my nerves a
little.  Is there anyway I can only replace the bushing to ...
tires, again18 Nov 2005 22:50 GMT4
I just about wore down my BFG AT KO's.
They are 235/75R15.
Is there anything as tall or taller, but skinnier?
I expect some snow this year.
Hard Top leaking? 2000 Jeep TJ18 Nov 2005 16:14 GMT9
Has anyone experienced leaks from the Jeep TJ hard top?  My rear floor
is soaking wet after rain storms.  No issues up front.
The problem may be related to the rear window seal.  Rust is forming
where the defroster wires attach to the windshiled.  I was about to
Question from a lurker...18 Nov 2005 08:32 GMT2
I am a regular reader of the posts in this group, and usually get all the info I
need just from following the thread.  I need an opinion(s) on selling my Jeep.

$4900, but since '99 have put about $12k ...
Troubles with Double Cardan Joint18 Nov 2005 02:12 GMT11
I have managed to do some semi-serious damage to one of the U-joints in my
double cardan. I don't know the name of the littel center-section part, but
it pretty much fell apart, and the result is that the body of the double
cardan has struck the yoke on the drive shaft and has ...
Old Jeep - blow by17 Nov 2005 23:29 GMT6
Have a 91 4 cy wrangler with 218,000 miles. The blow by through the vent
on top of the valve cover is so forceful that it's soaking the air
filter with oil so quickly that I need to replace it after just 500
miles.
