AW4 trans / XJ gears14 Nov 2005 18:47 GMT8
Jeep in question is 91 Cherokee Laredo 4.0 with 4spd automatic and
selec-trac trans. I usually run it in 2hi, transmission in the overdrive
position (D). Running between 65-70mph, the tach reads 2000-2100rpms. Seems
a little low to me. Drop it to 3rd gear, it reads about 3000rpms ...
No Ported Vacuum14 Nov 2005 13:56 GMT38
I am not getting any ported vacuum going to my EGR valve.  I checked the vac
at the connection that is on the top of the Carter BBD - the one on the
engine side of the carb and there is no vacuum at any RPM.  Anyone have any
ideas why?

I have a '93 JGC with the 318 V-8 engine.  Having a lot of trouble
with detonation on hills.  Using 87 octane gas, and driving at
altitudes over 5,000 feet.  Other than the timing being off (don't
think so) what else causes detonation?  How about the fuel injectors

I have an 88 YJ, 4.2 L 6cyl,  that is in need of wiring harness

As a result, there is about an 18 inch section where all of the wires

Why more brake dust/grime on right front wheel13 Nov 2005 15:50 GMT4
I seem to get noticeably more dust/grime from the front disk brake on my
right wheel than the left ('05 TJ SE). Any cause for concern? If yes, is
there a particular thing I should ask the dealer to check?

I ended up bobbing the rears on both sides and repainting etc. I cut and
folded them in and used sheet metal screws to hold it together. I will
probably try and weld them one day with my mig but those screws seem to be
Help: '99 TJ won't start -- rapid popping sound13 Nov 2005 01:13 GMT10
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to start looking
for the source of this problem:  when I try to start my 1999 TJ, the
engine will turn over slowly two or three times and then stop turning
over, then I'll hear a rapid-fire popping/snapping noise.  The lights

I'm trying to follow the instructions from the factory manual to
replace my radiator and the first significant step is the removal of
