although this affects mainly boats, I thought I'd cross post this here
in case any of you have a fiberglass fuel tank.  
There are great 'problems' showing up due to the 'changeover' of
gasoline addives - MTBE to Ethanol:  Fiberglass fuel tanks dissolving

I just managed to install a new dome light - during the procedure I
guess shorted the system and suddenly I have no power in panel/interior
lights - I changed borken fuse (#17 in power distribution center) but
still no power. Now I have no panel indications - any idea what I might

I have an 89 YJ and I'm having a problem with my brake lights that I
can't figure out.  I was backing up the other day and noticed that my
brake lights weren't coming on.
The parking lights, back up lights, and hazards all checked out okay.

It was a wet one.....
We were in 4x4 for the whole 4-5 hour trip out to the trail head on
Saturday, New Years Eve.  It was snowing steady with tons of cars in the
ditches all over the place.  I mean I am cruising along at a nice 55 mph

I have a 2003 TJ Sport; Couldn't be any better... except...
When I have the speaker at any mild volume, or even quiet playing a
deep base song, the center console vibrates in an absolutely
distracting and annoying way.

The Charter for this group needs to be posted now and then to keep it
valid and the first of the year seems like a good time to post it,
especially after reading all of the recent for 'sale' and 'auction'
threads.  ;-)

Can anyone provide me with (or direct me to) what all the fluid capacities
for a 1994 YJ? I'd like to do a complete maintenance this winter.

Has anyone out here swapped out the volt and/or oil pressure gauges on
their '80's CJ-7?  I need  to replace the gauges on my '85 and am not
sure of what size gauge to get.  Most everything I'm seeing is 2-1/16"
/ 52mm, but I think I remember seeing where the stock gauges are 2".

I am replacing the tub on my '83 CJ7 and there is some electronics on the
heater ductwork that I do understand. Just above the vent by the passenger
floorboard there is a three wire plug that goes to a coil inside the
ductwork. Could someone tell me what this is or it's function? ...

Okay, so my Sister gifted me her 1989 Cherokee which needed some TLC.
After replacing all 6 fuel injectors and fuel pressure regulator I
attacked the brakes - which had WAY to much pedal travel and where
totally mushy.
