| Advice: New wrangler unlimited? | 27 Feb 2006 02:24 GMT | 12 |
Am looking for new vehicle. Am very tall. Wranglers have the headroom and the Unlimited has enough legroom (yes, that extra inch does matter). I don't go off road all that often, but I like to be in good hands when I do. And the wranger seems to be a lot of fun. The Honda ...

| Body & Suspension Lifts | 26 Feb 2006 21:31 GMT | 6 |
Just wondering the thoughts out there regarding the combination of a suspension and body lift. I would be interested if anyone has done this. I thinking of going with a 2.5 suspension and 1" body lift. Pros and Cons would be appreciated.

For folks interested in older jeep vehicles, over at http://members.aol.com/Waucoba7/im/thenarrows.html is a photograph of a 1959 Willys CJ5, as it passes through a "narrows" high in California's Inyo Mountains, along the trail to Cerro Gordo ghost town.

| YJ mods | 26 Feb 2006 20:17 GMT | 8 |
Not sure if what I just typed got posted (I'm somewhat challenged when it comes to computer skills!), so I'm starting over. We (my wife and I) have a '92 YJ that we flat tow behind our motorhome during summer travel. It has a 4" Skyjacker plus a 1" +/- shackle lift. Tires are

| My first clunk in the night (kind of long) | 26 Feb 2006 17:57 GMT | 5 |
We got the front tow hooks, happy day! Now I can go get stuck. I am "hooked up" front and rear. Hubs tore the front of the KJ apart so he could get them on and so that I could cut the holes in it for access.

| 89 Cherokee 4x4 won't engage on the fly | 26 Feb 2006 14:40 GMT | 3 |
I have an 89 Cherokee, five-speed, I6 4.0 engine with 4hi and 4lo. I paid a mechanic some good money to replace a clutch slave cylinder and got more problems than what he fixed. A few attempts back to him to "fix" things, and he evidently doesn't know how to work on it...

| looking for 16x6.5 wheels | 26 Feb 2006 01:06 GMT | 2 |
I'm looking for a set of 16x6.5 basic steel wheels for use on a 98 Cherokee. I'm looking for wheels similar to those found on military spec Land Rovers or those used in the Camel Trophy expeditions. I can't find any such thing on the net. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong

| Stiff Tailgate? | 26 Feb 2006 00:14 GMT | 8 |
The tailgate on my 2001 Wrangler has become really difficult to swing. Anyone know of a way to get this back to normal? Tried all kinds of lubricants on the hinge pins without much affect. Thanx,

| How much lift does this have? | 25 Feb 2006 22:10 GMT | 1 |
What is the stock height of a 90 YJ and where do I measure from? It has aftermarket bumpers so I can't go from there. It has at least 2" of frame lift, but it seems a lot more than 2" higher than a stock rig. I'll post some pictures once it gets out of the shop from it's safety ...

| engine light code 43 | 25 Feb 2006 21:42 GMT | 8 |
I have a 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport, and my check engine light came on with 2 different codes. The codes were 43, and 42. I disconnected the battery to clear it, and the light came on again the next day with error code 43 again. My Jeep still runs great, but I have noticed my
