I have a 2000 tj sport, 4.0L engine, manual transmission with 99000 miles and maintained consistently. Here are my observations: Jeep still with motor running + neutral + accelerator pressed = normal vroom.

I noticed a loss of coolant in my '97 Cherokee 4.0l just before Xmas, which developed into a large leak by Christmas eve. After Xmas I got the local radiator specialist to look. They advised that it would almost certainly be the water pump, but they'd pressure test it

Well the XJ is at the shop and in pieces as you may know I am making that bad boy into a 4.6L stroker using 4.2L parts. This ought to be interesting. I am thinking that while it is down, I will pull out the carpet and pull off the side panel trim and make nice durabak rocker

The problem being that I haven't been able to find one. One parts store has one for a '93-'98 Grand Cherokee 5.2L but it doesn't match up to mine. Mine is bent up at a slight angle on the flat part and the bolt holes are closer together. Two other places can't even find a part ...

The late on my tailgate- (the metal door, not just the window) sometimes gets stuck, and I can't open it unless I press dwon & in on the tailgate, while pulling on the handle to open the tailgate.

Quick question, got a 93 with a rusted out rear passenger side frame in the back. Got an 89 rolling frame that has no rust and looks almost new but the rest is shot, body, etc. Are there any differences in the 89 and 93 frame ? We started stripping and getting the 89 frame ready ...
