| Exhaust pipe bolts on '89 YJ | 08 Mar 2006 17:19 GMT | 3 |
I'm going to replace the exhaust pipe on my '89 YJ 4.2. I was told the only way to get the nuts off is with a torch. i.e.. Heat them to cherry red and then try to get them off. Will the studs be useable after this or must I replace them

| WELL IT'S DONE!! | 08 Mar 2006 14:46 GMT | 1 |
The xj is done (see previous posts) and all for the low low price of $1900 which was all the machining and parts and labor and even a new blower motor for my hearter. Not bad in as this sucker has a TON-O-POWER now, if I am at a stop light I have to be careful not to

| Jeep stuck in Part Time 4WD | 08 Mar 2006 04:25 GMT | 36 |
While going downhill accross a patch of ice, I shifted to Part Time 4WD on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. It all went well until when I tried to shift it back to 2WD, no matter what I did, the display kept saying Part Time 4WD. I did I few things I saw on this forum, going reverse, put in

| No Coolant flow in 5.9 | 08 Mar 2006 01:03 GMT | 11 |
Posted earlier about a temp gauge problem. Turns out I'm getting no coolant flow in my 98 Zj 5.9 . Replaced thermostat, tested it before it went in and was ok. While I had the t-stat housing off I tried spinning the water pump pulleu and got some flow out of the stat hole

| Softening up the ride... | 07 Mar 2006 19:41 GMT | 8 |
Hi Folks, first time posting here, hope I'm not intruding. I recently bout a '73 CJ5, got a great deal on it. Kid had put a 2" suspension lift and a 2" body lift on it. It'll rattle your teeth out. Would the suspension lift alone cause this, or could he have put really stiff

| CJ-7's heater motor upgrade | 07 Mar 2006 16:14 GMT | 6 |
I've been searching for a while now and am not able to find the exact answer to my question... I have a 1981 CJ-7 and since my heater core seems to be leaking, I want to go ahead and do the heater motor upgrade while I install the new core.

| Tierra Del Sol Desert Safari | 07 Mar 2006 04:24 GMT | 2 |
Attended my first safari this weekend :-) It's a bit far from home (200 miles one way) and a bit crowded (1500+ drivers!), but I had fun. My friend with a 98 TJ has gone every year for the last 7 or 8 years,

| Bent front axle yoke on a TJ | 07 Mar 2006 02:55 GMT | 3 |
Are there shops that can fix a bent axle yoke, or is a whole new axle needed? The axle yoke is the fixed yoke that the steering knuckle mounts on. This is a 2003 Rubicon.

I have a 2001 Jeep Wrangler with the 4.0 engine. It has 56,000 miles. When starting the engine there is a loud rapid ticking noise that last until the engine warms. It only does this when starting a cold engine but not every time, maybe 3

| 96 Cherokee clutch question | 06 Mar 2006 22:20 GMT | 4 |
I'm getting the clutch replaced Monday, but have a question. If I turn off the engine while the car is still moving and in gear(clutch fully depressed). There is a noticeable drag as soon as the engine quits. Cherokees have a hydraulic clutch, but it's not a "power" clutch like ...

| Is my battery really bad | 06 Mar 2006 22:08 GMT | 5 |
I stopped at a Jiffy Lube to have oil changed on my 2000 Grand Cherokee V-8. They did a battery test, said the battery appeared to be 2.5 years old and was probably a 3 year warranty. Said it was supposed to put out (CCA I think) 820, and it was only putting out
