What kind of oil to use for 1994 Jeep Cherokee?04 Mar 2006 14:03 GMT11
Hello, I just bought a 1994 Jeep Cherokee from a family friend on the
cheap.  Cheap Jeep Yah!
Anyway, does anyone know what kind of oil it uses?  The previous owner
could not find the manual and the sage advice stamped on the oil check
Free TJ parts (Eugene, Oregon area)04 Mar 2006 03:00 GMT3
I sold my '97 Jeep and have some stuff to get rid of.  Here it is:
-spare headlight, brand new;
-factory HD alternator; voltage spiked once and went back to normal but i
replaced it anyway... it had about 75k miles on it at that time;
Any Market for Used TJ Lift Kits?04 Mar 2006 02:58 GMT4
Yesterday I ordered a brand new Rubicon Express Extreme Duty long arm
lift to replace the tired Teraflex/RE/whatever kit that's on my TJ
right now.  I debated reusing some of the old lift parts, but then I
said to myself "do it three times and do it right." (get it, this is

not unloading correctly.
Questions:
Building Jeep, or any other, frames03 Mar 2006 22:18 GMT8
Attention should be paid to the literature the EAA puts out for people
welding their own steel aircraft structures, including their reprint of
AC 43-13-1B et seq.
If the frames are $1800 commercially and use $300 of steel and would
idler pulley03 Mar 2006 17:55 GMT18
Do a lot of you have/get squeaks on the idler pulley?
Someone commented about using STP on an idler.
My squeak comes and goes with the weather, and it's annoying!
Last AMC Jeep?03 Mar 2006 13:59 GMT3
I just transferred my 90 YJ over and I noticed on the ownership that it said
'AMER' in the "Make" spot on my ownership. I thought that the last AMC jeeps
were 89's. The VIN is 2J4FY59T1LJ526671 if that helps anyone tell me if this
beast was made by AMC or not.
WRANGLER DISCONTINUED?03 Mar 2006 04:34 GMT7
Current car magazine states the Wrangler is to be completely changed for
2007. Gas tank in center of vehicle and whole thing completely redesigned.
Anybody have any more details on this??
Oil in Gas tank -- erratic idle03 Mar 2006 03:06 GMT11
Man it's not a good new year for me, I accidentally picked the wrong
funnel (dumbass) to pour gas into my tank and used an oiled one. My 90
4.0L 6 cyl. XJ now has an alarmingly erratic idle spiking from @100 rpm
to 3-400 rpm every complete turn... aaargh, any suggestions, new plugs?
Front end alignment03 Mar 2006 03:01 GMT5
Just had my 95 Cherokee Sport aligned.
They said that the TOE was the only setting that can be adjusted
...?!?
Is this so?
TJ OEM side marker wiring03 Mar 2006 02:59 GMT3
Anyone have an idea what the part number is and where I can get an OEM
wiring harness for the front turn signal and side marker lights for a
'97 TJ?  My local dealer wants to sell me the entire wiring harness
when all I need if the T that connects to the front passenger side
Help, engine misses randomly03 Mar 2006 01:40 GMT11
I have a 89 4.2L Wrangler, recently I somehow lost the Oil filer cap
and a some oil was lost inside the engine compartment lightly covering
the block, distributor cap and wires and the air filter cover. Since
then it will randomly miss 1 to 3 cylinders whilst driving, when it
extra spring? Huh?03 Mar 2006 00:00 GMT2
The patient is a CJ3B.
I put the master cylinder back in, attached the pedal, reattached the big
spring to keep the brake pedal pulled into place. So far so good.
But there's a small spring left over and I can't remember where it went.
Stoopid ?? for first time brake work02 Mar 2006 23:43 GMT16
I posted earlier re the T connection on the rear axle of my 91 YJ.
I'm soon to do an axle swap and have zero experience with brakes.
So I have some basic questions.
1/ For the rear,  when I unbolt the line end opposite the T at the
94YJ overheating?02 Mar 2006 22:29 GMT3
Within the past few days I've noticed the temp gauge has gone up to about
250 and fluxuates between there and 235. The engine overheating light has
not come on and there seems to be no other problems. There is abundant
coolant and everything else seems fine. Is this a thermostat or ...
