throw out or water pump?26 Mar 2006 23:09 GMT3
I have noticed a noise in my YJ that I thougth was the throw out bearing
as it goes away when the clutch is pressed(while sitting in the seat),
but by listening in the engine bay the squeak sounds like it is up front
around the water pump.  I have not had some one else press the ...
97 Cherokee has bitten the dust26 Mar 2006 23:01 GMT25
My son, a 3rd year student at Montana U.  has / had a '97 Cherokee
Country with all the bells and whistles. While trying to help someone
out of a ditch on an icy snowy road the jeep was smashed by a diesel
rig. As you may expect, it was totalled by the insurance company.
tire wear26 Mar 2006 22:44 GMT26
Have a strange tire wear problem on the wifey's 93 ZJ,  the inner edges
(almost inner 1/3rd) or the front tires are worn almost bare,  This suggests
a problem with the camber angle,  in reading about this I have found that
the camber on the ZJ is non-adjustable, any ideas what ...

Stock Rubicons are better than Stock H2's in the mud26 Mar 2006 14:44 GMT7
I saw a post asking which was better & have watched a guy get his H2
stuck in mud that I can drive my TJ through, which is close to the Rubi

NP231 U-Joint Straps26 Mar 2006 04:20 GMT2
I just installed a reman NP231 with the SYE.  Lo and behold the input and
output yolks of the T-case won't accept the stock U-joint straps and bolts.
The stock U-joint strap bolts are 3/16 and thread into the stock yolks.  The
new T-case yolks have 1/4" holes and are unthreaded.  ...
Battery Connected Backwards26 Mar 2006 03:51 GMT31
I installed a new battery in my '88 Wrangler but connected the wires
backwards.  Needless to say there were sparks, hissing and smoke coming
from either the bottom of the battery or below the battery.  The car
starts and runs but the radio does not work and the volt meter shows

Fastrac Soft tops26 Mar 2006 02:27 GMT1
Hi Group - Has anyone had any experiences with Fastrac soft tops? I
have been "negotiating" with an ebay company that sells both Fastrac
and Bestop soft tops. The seller claims the Fastrac is a bit better
than the Supertop. He says the material (Haartz) is just a bit thicker.
