Heading to Tahoe for 1st time - advice?15 Mar 2006 21:25 GMT13
I'm itching to head up to a buddy's cabin in my 6-sp. '05 TJL; There
will be the usual ice, snow and 50+ mph. wind.  I've done this many
times in a semi, but never in a little 4WD Jeep.  Most of the roads
stay reasonably plowed from what I'm told.
D35 to Ford 8.8 rear end15 Mar 2006 21:02 GMT10
I have decided to upgrade the 97TJ rear end from the D35 to a
Ford 8.8, with welds on the axel tubes.  Will take this from an Explorer
rear, gives me the pleasure of having disk brakes in the back while keeping
the same blot pattern, 5x4.5, as the TJ.  The weak points ...

Mine started to smell, then stopped working altogether.
How hard is it to crack into the dashboard on a JGC 2000?

2004 Rubicon15 Mar 2006 00:36 GMT2
I recently bought a 2004 Rubicon with 10,000 miles on it.
I am a little concerned about the tranny.  It is an automatic with OD.
I notice that when I am going up an incline at around 40 mph it shift
into OD and I loose all my power.  (It's almost as if it is shifting too
YJ Suspension Noise Question15 Mar 2006 00:25 GMT7
1992 YJ, stock, 2.5L (hardtop)
Just had the shocks replaced on my jeep. While the ride is better, the
thumping noise and jumping I experience when going over bumps is still
there (although definately better than before the shock replacement).

Is there anyone out there that can tell me how many 1981 CJ-7's where
made that came with the 304c.i. and the automatic transmission.? Or tell
me where I could find this information out.
92 Cherokee Limited I614 Mar 2006 19:12 GMT3
Over the past week I have been driving my father's 92 Cherokee Limited
with the Inline 6. The car has about 90k miles and is in pretty good
shape. Oil changes and other maintenance are done on schedule.
The problem with the car is that it begins to develop a rough idle with

For those of you that just can't get enough of Bill "I own America

Jeep Cherokee hard starting, part II14 Mar 2006 17:17 GMT5
I have a 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo with the in-line 6 and
auto-transmission.  I have been fighting a hard start problem, which I
posted on this forum about a month ago.  My suspicions at that point
were the fuel pump or the crankshaft position sensor.  I've noticed
Jeep just died ( electrically) after 20 mile journey14 Mar 2006 17:03 GMT34
My wife has a 2002 Jeep Cherokee grand and just drove it 20  miles from
college. She drove it into the garage and shut the engine down. As she was
getting out she noticed that the seat didn't roll back to let her get out
easily. She also noticed that she couldn't open any of the ...

about any positive or negative experiences with the ADDCO Sway Bar

Head swap header info??14 Mar 2006 03:32 GMT4
Hey group,
I have ordered a 4.0 head to go on my 84 CJ7 4.2, Manual Trans play toy...
I need to find a header that will be compatible with this swap. Has anyone
out there done this swap and, if so, which header or manifold did you use.
Complete Rubber Floor Liner for Unlimited14 Mar 2006 01:09 GMT4
Does anyone know where to get a complete rubber floor liner kit for a
2004 Wrangler Unblimited.  I have a VERY hairy dog and his hair is
stuck in the carpet.  I had a rubber liner for my old CJ-7 and it
worked perfect.
