I know my hood prop rods are getting weak but what I would like to find out
is how strong  new ones are... I mean at what point will they hold or raise
the hood after being unlatched?
Thanks...

The 2006 six speed Jeep Wrangler has a very dangerous design flaw.  New for
the 2006 Jeep Wrangler is the six speed transmissions and what I have
recently learned the "hard way" is part of the redesign includes the ...

My AT fluid is a dirty brown/black rather than the usual red. I can only

charging the ac06 Apr 2006 05:49 GMT35
Hi all.  Every spring my ac doesn't work(94 grand cherokee), so I charge it
and everything seems to be fine until the next spring.  $10/year isn't bad.
The ac doesn't work great, but it keeps things cool enough.  What I'm
wondering is would it be worth it to take it to someone who ...
transmission mount on a CJ06 Apr 2006 01:10 GMT10
Whats the best way to change one of these? I have a 76-cj5 and the shift
lever moves considerably when the engine is under a load.
I was just wondering how to support things while the skid plate is
removed..doesnt it hold the tranny and TC up?
choke linkage problem? (or "i am an idiot")06 Apr 2006 00:42 GMT13
well thanks to all for their help last week with my starting problems -

account of a bad vacuum line to the pull-off... that was corrected,
however i found myself still having non-starts unless the motor was
86 Cherokee. Need desperate electrical help!!!! plz05 Apr 2006 14:39 GMT36
I just recently accuired an 86 cherokee. It has had its orignal motor
pulled and swapped from an 89, both were/are 2.5l (Not by me.) Here is
my problem. I drove the cherokee for about a half hour with all the
head lights on with out any problems. It had no radio at the time, so

Tractor-trailer load of Jeeps05 Apr 2006 06:38 GMT5
I saw a semi loaded with nine Jeeps parked behind a shopping mall in
Syracuse today. The driver was apparently getting some sleep. They were
assorted CJ7s, CJ5s, YJs and a couple of older models. They were definitely
outfitted for serious off-roading and had plates including ...
How do you store your hard top?05 Apr 2006 04:12 GMT36
I am looking at all of this stuff on the web and my owner's manual says
store it flat on the floor.
Is anyone using the vertical cart system?
Any other suggestions?
Small Coolant Leak05 Apr 2006 03:36 GMT5
I have a 1993 JGC with the V8 engine.  Recently it has begun to leak a fluid
out of the radiator cap.  It only leaks fluid after the engine has warmed
up, and is cooling down.  I was able to follow the trickle of coolant to the
radiator cap.  At first I thought that the cap was ...
