Different TJ hard top models?23 May 2006 21:32 GMT2
Just got a 2002 TJ with a soft top; looking for a used hard top and
called the local dealer about a wiring kit.  Not only are there are
different wiring kits (1997 to 2000, and 2001 and up), but the Mopar
part numbers for the hardtops are different - 1997 to 2002 and 2003 to

microfiche. I also have the OEM CD ROM parts set that covers 1981 and
up Jeep, 1982 and up Chrysler passenger car and light truck, 1982 and

Death wobble23 May 2006 00:32 GMT13
OK, so i will start out by stating I have limited to no mechanical
knowledge, and i'm looking for a place to start looking...
I've got an 04 LJ with a BDS 3" lift running 33's (stock steering
stabilizer), and recently it seems every time I go over a bump or rr
brake question22 May 2006 16:55 GMT6
The metal brake line that goes to the right (passenger side) rear  tire
was recently replaced by a shop on my '95 YJ.  It looks/feels like
pliers were used to bend the tubing.   The problem is that the brakes
now feel very soft. I tried bleeding the rear brakes but air keeps
BeCool Radiator22 May 2006 15:47 GMT1
I want to replace my stock 97TJ (manual trans) radiator with a BeCool
unit, but am completely confused with what I need to buy. i.e. there is
a huge range of part numbers, with some different websites claiming
different specs for the same part number.
97 TJ Overheating   (manual trans)22 May 2006 15:36 GMT2
When I drive in the city, the temp stays near 210F (midway, where it's
supposed to be).
However, highway driving (sustained 75mph) causes the temp to rise to
the point where I can't drive for more than 10 mins.
Aftermarket Fog Lamps - '93 JGC22 May 2006 14:21 GMT11
I bought some Hella lamps to replace the factory fog lamps on my '93
JGC.  The factory lamps attach to a bracket that extends above the
bumper, and have two ears for a horizontal bolt through the lamp base.
The Hella's have the horizontal hole in the mount, but they are meant
raising seat height in TJ22 May 2006 13:57 GMT1
Seems like the seat is lower than my old Wrangler.    Makes me feel like I'm
in a low-rider.
What's the best/safest way to raise my front seats about 1 to 1-1/2 inches?
Spacers and longer bolts?
XJ open/closed cooling system22 May 2006 06:04 GMT11
well the 90XJ I have overheated on the way home last night.  It was a cool
evening.  Checked it out today,  refilled the system w/coolant and it
overheated again.  Previous owner has changed the thermostat already.  SO

Extended Warranty22 May 2006 02:49 GMT9
Just bought a new Liberty CRD and of course I got the usual sales pitch from the
business 'manager' about the virtues of an extended warranty, and especially in
this case for a diesel.  He's trying to sell me the Gold Plus plan because it
provides 10 free oil changes over the life ...

The XJ is white and the dash and panels are grey.  But the carpet does
not appear to be just grey.

90 XJ springs21 May 2006 14:02 GMT8
Called the stealership for springs front and back: front coils are $81 a
piece and rear leafs are $210 a piece.  If I did my math right that's
$622.74 including tax... before shocks that probably need replacing also at
$24 each for factory ones.
