Best material to repair stock 86 'Whitco' vinyl Softop ideas anyone?18 May 2006 19:00 GMT8
I need to keep my stock 1986 Witco vinyl soft top and doors working for
another season and the top is getting pretty beat.  Time to swap the
duct tape patches for some vinyl ones and seal the window cracks.
Snowboardripper from this group gave me a new set of soft doors a couple
Water pump advice needed18 May 2006 18:36 GMT4
'85 CJ-7 with an '86 AMC 360 under the hood:
My water pump just gave up the ghost. Considering my options, I see
high flow pumps such as the FlowKooler out there, but they are more
costly than stock pumps. Does anyone have good or bad experience with
Grand Wagoneer fuel supply problem?18 May 2006 16:11 GMT14
Advice from the NG would be most appreciated for the following.
1989 Grand Wagoneer drives and starts well, but on occasion, will
stop as if it were out of gas.  Cranking does nothing.
What does work is to pour gas into the carb then restart.  With
Engine oil temp - TJ18 May 2006 15:32 GMT5
I had installed an engine oil temperature gauge on my TJ (using a filter sandwich plate).  Results are as under:
* city driving at around 50 kms/hr - temp takes about 6-8 kms to rise above 175F and then stays at 200F
* highway driving early morning at 100 kms/hr - temp takes about ...

I'm replacing my old trackarm bushing with poly. Any ideas on how to get out
the olds ones? This is for a 93 wrangler.
Thanks
90 XJ AC and dash lights18 May 2006 05:32 GMT6
My dash lights blew the fuse when I replaced the blown fuse already in
there, has anyone already chased down a problem like this before?  I could
use some pointers since I've never chased down an electrical problem like
this before.
Defrost air doesn't....17 May 2006 22:50 GMT3
.....blow against the windshield.
When I turn it on I hear a flap drop or something and then the air is
blocked it seems.....while the blower keeps working the other vents.
Had it in at the stealer's and they wanted 995 of my hard earned dollars to
Late model 4.0 manifold crack?17 May 2006 17:41 GMT11
I've heard things about the late model 4.0 cracking the exhaust
manifold. Is this on XJ's, TJ's ZJ's, WJ's, or all? What years,
specifically? Do most people just install a header when the manifold
breaks?
Wheel size 91 vs 99?17 May 2006 16:20 GMT1
All,
Can anyone tell me if I can swap wheels of an 99 TJ with my stock 91 YJ
wheels?
Thank you,
Roof top cargo bags17 May 2006 13:34 GMT1
I need to get a roof top cargo bag for my Libby. One of the soft types
that collapses for storage. Waterproof. 13-15 cu ft. There's a lot of
choices out there but I'm wondering about two things:
1. Some descriptions say "fits most factory installed rails". With that
Question about oil pressure gauge in 04 Rubicon17 May 2006 12:02 GMT16
I have a 2004 Rubicon with 20,000 miles and LOVE it! I have just noticed
when I start the engine my oil pressure gauge stays at 0 for a second or
two then slowly climbs to normal in about 5-10 seconds. I've had my Jeep
for about 6 months and have never noticed it taking so long to ...
1995 Jeep Cherokee brake question17 May 2006 01:49 GMT12
I have a question concerning the rear brake shoe configuration on a 1995
Jeep Cherokee.-
Can anyone provide information on where the shoe with the shorter friction
surface should be installed (toward the front or rear).
Convert 4.3L Chevy V6 to carb?17 May 2006 01:29 GMT38
So far I like the Chevy 4.3L V6 over the Buick V6.  I think parts will
be easier to find and I can switch to a 350 easier.  I don't want to
mess with EFI though because I don't want any computers in my rig.  I
heard that Edelbrock (I think) makes a conversion kit with carb.
ABS Light17 May 2006 01:05 GMT3
I have a 93 JGC, with the V8 engine.  The last couple of times I towed my
utility trailer full of mulch for my yard I have had the ABS light come on
and stay on.  The trailer and contents weighs around 3000 lbs, which
shouldn't be a problem.  For the most part the roads that I ...
Right-Hand drive?16 May 2006 20:28 GMT40
I've been offered a 2003 6cyl AT hard top hard door TJ with 30,000
miles for $3000. It looks to be in perfect condition. The only catch is
that it is right-hand drive. I don't know the laws in Virgina
concerning right-hand drive, or if I'd have trouble with lifting the
