Faulty Fuel Reading16 Jul 2006 00:25 GMT1
I've noticed there's been a lot mentioned about faulty fuel gauges on
Jeeps, but I couldn't seem to find what I was looking for in the
archives. In my '89 YJ my fuel gauge reads ¼ tank when it's about
empty and way over full when I top it off. Anybody out there seen this

I have a blown turn signal light out on the front. How and the hell do you
get to it.

76 CJ515 Jul 2006 19:41 GMT25
I'm looking at a 76 CJ5 for real cheap. It's got the AMC 304. It has some
new parts and apparently runs well. The carb has been 'upgraded' to a holley
2bbl. It will need a starter, exhaust, and a wiring harness. The wiring
harness is the big ? for me, since I don't know how bad ...
Gauges & Electric Windows on the Blink:  Solution? -JGC-15 Jul 2006 15:27 GMT3
Based on the manual, doesn't seem to be a directory for a specific fuse
accounting for this.  Check all the fuses anyway, they all are fine.
Plus...when it first started happening, I would give the top of the
dash on the drivers side a good "smack" and presto, the might pop on.
Folding down window......15 Jul 2006 15:23 GMT6
I've had two jeeps, and never folded down the front window. After you
fold it down is there any way of securing it, so it stays put. Is this
not recommended at high speeds? I have a yj now and was wondering if
any one has done it. I saw somone the other day with theirs down
Running Lockers in 4HI (rubicon)15 Jul 2006 04:24 GMT19
I have heard of guys rewiring their rubicons to allow them to use the
lockers in 4HI.  I see that you can also buy kits on EBAY that will
allow you to do the same thing.  What are he PRO's and CON's of making
this change?  Would I be taking the chance of breaking something simply ...
Brake light on dash stays on15 Jul 2006 01:43 GMT8
I recently bought a 1978 CJ7 to restore.   I noticed the brake light in
the speedometer cluster stays on.  Whats this telling me?  The parking
brake is "engaged"?.... there are brake issues with the vehicle?... or
both.
2006 Liberty Sport Window Tint15 Jul 2006 01:41 GMT4
I noticed that while looking at some of the 2006 Libertys (3.7 gas engines)
with part time 4x4, the window stickers at the dealers indicated that the
very rear side windows and the rear gate window were tinted.  The very rear
window on each side did not look tinted--- before I ask ...
YJ body mount removal15 Jul 2006 01:32 GMT6
I must first say a big public thanks to Bill Hughs (III). I am well on
my way to my own sync ring job with his help. She is a '93 Jeep YJ, 2.5
L with an AX-5.
This new post concerns the removal and replacement of rusted and

Jeep 4.2L - Wont Idle!14 Jul 2006 13:38 GMT6
I'm working on a 1990 Jeep YJ, 4.2L I6, that won't idle.  From 1200RPM
up, everything's fine.  It runs smooth under power.  It won't idle at
all.
The previous owner replaced the carb with an older non-computer
