Jeep Liberty (3.7L + 5 speed Manual) - Towing Testemonials?08 Aug 2006 01:17 GMT1
We have an '03 Liberty Renegade with the V6 and Manual Transmission.
We are considering an 23' Rockwood Ultra light (dual axle) trailer
that weighs about 3400lbs. The specs for the Manual Transmission calls
for max tow limit of 3500lbs (5000 for the Auto) and I'm wondering if
power windows problem07 Aug 2006 23:47 GMT1
The power windows lockout switch no longer works in my 2000 cherokee
limited..
Can I bypass the switch or at least just replace the switch and not the
entire assembly???
Turn signal question07 Aug 2006 21:52 GMT3
I have a couple of questions about the turn signals on my 95 XJ Sport.
I just replaced a burned out bulb. While it was bad, I noticed the
typical "fast-flash" of the dash indicator (and the working bulb), but
I also noticed that if you held the lever at the point just before it
Torn gease boot07 Aug 2006 20:54 GMT2
While working under my '01 TJ, I noticed that the dust boot is torn
where the drag-link attaches to the pitman arm.  I figure that I should
replace this before too long.  I didn't find anything on this in the
FSM.  Anyone replaced one?  How hard is it to pop the drag-link bolt ...
I've broken two rear U-joints07 Aug 2006 18:40 GMT6
I have a 1995 Cherokee with 150k miles on it.
I have not used it much for offroad.. a little bit.  Mostly
it is my daughter's driver, and she has a lead foot.
I've had this vehicle since about 115k, and it has
Ignition Module07 Aug 2006 18:21 GMT4
I have an 88 Yj (4.2L) that I suspect has a bad ignition Module. Ive
replaced every other damn thing that could possibly be the problem.
(Wont start, erratic spark at the coil). Anyway, my question for the
pros in the group is this: The ignition module for an 87 wrangler is
CJ-7 and YJ rocker panel compatibility?07 Aug 2006 18:04 GMT1
If you research this supplier, it seems a CJ-7 rocker panel (complete
with the lower cowl) has the same part number as a YJ part?

Replacement Muffler - 1990 YJ 4.2L ??07 Aug 2006 17:34 GMT6
I'm replacing the tail pipe and muffler on a 1990 4.2L Jeep Wrangler.
I've ordered a replacement exhaust pipe from the local auto parts
store, but I wanted a muffler with a little more attitude than a stock
replacement.  The existing original muffler is 13" long, with a center

Low TJ oil pressure = new oil pump?07 Aug 2006 04:14 GMT16
The oil pressure gauge on my TJ is high, 40+, while the engine runs at
road speeds, but at idle the needle sometimes drops to zero, and then
climbs up to about 10 pounds.  Sometimes while at idle it swings back
and forth between 0 and 10.
360 wristpin oilers07 Aug 2006 03:09 GMT12
I got my rods back with new pistons on 'em, but if I orient the dots on
the piston top to face the front of the engine then the oil notches on the
rods face downward throughout the complete rotation of the crank (rather
than towards the wristpins). That can't be right, can it? I ...
Parts list for '99 TJ ??07 Aug 2006 00:51 GMT2
Can anyone point me to a parts list for my '99 TJ ??
I've found some awesome ones for '81-'96... but that's not much help,
personally.  :-)
FWIW, here they are in case they help someone out there....
Quick OBD II warning light question...06 Aug 2006 23:47 GMT3
I've been noticing that my coolant temp gauge has been showing a low reading
(130-140) so I'm suspecting a bad thermostat. Concurrently, the warning
light illuminates. Can the low temp cause this? Thanks all. ('01 Grand

07 Wrangler Unlimited06 Aug 2006 23:11 GMT32
A good step back in the right direction. This might get me interested in
Jeep again. Appearance is OK and the initial utility on the thing looks
great.
Same old tired jeep performance (+/- 200hp) yawn, with no other options.
