Still looking for a Jeep for myself. Will not be a DD so gas mileage isn't a huge concern. I've got a lead on a 79 Cherokee (SJ?). It's got the 360 and D44's front and rear. Full-time 4wd (quadradrive?). The price is right. I've heard that the full time T-case (quadradrive?) is ...

Just received this recall notice for my TJ -- "The clutch pedal pushrod on your vehicle may break and allow clutch engagement when the pedal is depressed. This can increase the vehicle's stopping distance and/or cause engine stalling, which can result in a crash without warning."

just an update on the recent radical drop in fuel mileage i experienced after doing a rebuild on my Carter BBD (87 YJ 4.2L) from about 17-18mpg to something like 5-7mpg! there were no obvious signs of excessive fuel consumption (black smoke clouds) or leaks in the system, and she ...

| 1993 grand cherokee | 14 Aug 2006 22:09 GMT | 5 |
My drivers side window won't open. I guess it could be a fuse, motor or switch. Unfortunately I've lost the manual for it. Here's my questions. 1: Would it be the fuse box beside the glove box, or the one under the

| 03 Jeep TJ Odometer reset | 14 Aug 2006 15:48 GMT | 6 |
I have recently replaced the Speedo clustser in my 03 TJ with a used cluster that displays lower than actual mileage. Before replacing the cluster, I read posts and was reassured by the local Jeep dealership that the actual mileage could be read from the ECU and programmed into

...government programs? I took my Jeep in for it's annual emission test and it failed because the gas cap wouldn't hold pressure. I got a new cap at Auto Zone (closest place) for $6.00 and went back for a retest.

| 1989 Cherokee Won't Shift Into 2nd After Wash | 14 Aug 2006 00:44 GMT | 2 |
I had my 1989 Cherokee 4.0L engine washed. Afterwards, the Cherokee wouldn't shift into 2nd. It just goes in 1st gear and Reverse. I did uncouple and re-attached as many electrical attachments that I could get to on top of the engine, along the firewall, and by the relay. I

My wife drives a 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport. She is only 4' 10 " tall and has to sit really close to the steering wheel. I've read where people have been severely injured or killed when the air bag deployed even in minor accidents.

| 4.0 main bearing bolt size question | 13 Aug 2006 11:03 GMT | 7 |
I am trying to change the rear main seal in my 1997 4.0 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have been pretty much over my head in the whole project. In trying to remove the main cap, my 13/16 socket seems too big, and my 20mm socket won't fit on the main bearing bolt.
