I am an Idiot and need help13 Sep 2006 21:39 GMT6
Hey guys, I posted yesterday about a stalling and bucking problem.  I
think I have it diagnosed but I think I screwed up the electrical
system.  I plugged in the engine light and it must not have been hooked
up right or had a short in it because the wires started to melt.  I got
2003 TJ Heater Blower motorspeeds not working13 Sep 2006 21:15 GMT3
Hey Folks,  Has anyone ever tried to replace the resistor pack for the speed
selector switch on a late model TJ?  My 2003 Wranglers speed switch only
works on the max setting and the local dealer said that it was the resistor
pack.  I have the part but don't have a clue how to put ...
Traction13 Sep 2006 15:48 GMT12
I drive a 1997 TJ, 4 banger, 5 speed, 2 1/2" lift, 31" tires, front
swaybar disconnects, otherwise stock.  I drive two-track roads for
hunting, camping and fishing in all kinds of weather.  I have also done
Moab Jeep Safari three times and have been able to negotiate 3 1/2

My 1981 US Army CJ5 with Full Metal Top, Full Metal Doors and small army
style trailer which is in perfect running condition is FOR SALE.
I'm too old now for the bumps and the wind on my arthritic neck so I wimped
out and got a late model Land Cruiser.
Shock absorbers for 1998 Grand Cherokee 5.913 Sep 2006 02:40 GMT13
We bought a 98 5.9 limited Grand Cherokee last November for the occasional
weekend trip and once or twice a year to Oregon and Nevada.
Some of these trips are in winter with at least some snow. We very
occasionally drive dirt roads, both dry and wet. My  Honda Civic would have
TJ Power Steering Fluid Leak13 Sep 2006 02:30 GMT4
I've got new marks on the ground, just below the steering gear box; and
splatter marks on the underside of the hood just above the power steering
fluid reservoir. I see no obvious leak points in this area (but the bottom
of the gear box is wet). The fluid level was a little low ...
"Oh Canada..."13 Sep 2006 01:42 GMT6
Someone here is from the Great White North, eh?
A friend said something about there being no such thing as a Canadian
"Wrangler", as the name "Wrangler" is copyrighted by another company??
Was he pullin my leg, or are all Wranglers called TJ's in Canada??

Does the little spiral shaped device known as the Tornado actually
improve engine efficiency and power like it advertises?

1990 4.0L Cherokee Stalling and Bucking Problems12 Sep 2006 15:23 GMT3
I have a 1990 4.0L Cherokee that is having stalling and bucking
problems.  While driving or coming to a stop the engine would stall, I
would hear a slight puff sound and then smell fuel in the engine
compartment.  At other times, usually on acceleration, the engine would
2000XJ Cherokee heat a/c controls12 Sep 2006 06:08 GMT2
We've just had the first cooler mornings and in turning on the heat for
the first time since spring, I noticed that the blower is putting out
air in all three positions (dash, floor, defrost) no matter where the
control is set. Apparently the controller which changes the venting is
91 Cherokee calipers12 Sep 2006 06:06 GMT10
What tool do I use to get the front calipers off? Hex wrenches don't
seem to fit & I've never done Cherokee brakes before. Thanks.
'93 Grand Cherokee 5.2 tranny?12 Sep 2006 04:05 GMT6
Quick question (I hope). Which tranny is in my '93 Grand 5.2L? Some websites
say there was one offered, others say that there was two, and others forget
the 5.2L altogether. How do I tell the different models apart? It has an
NP249 t-case and the old style tranny mount, if that ...
4 Cylinder Engines in CJ712 Sep 2006 02:12 GMT12
I was wondering how good the 4 cylinder engines are in these jeeps. Is
it a good option for medium-core 4-wheeling on the cheap? I know the
I6's are great (I used to have a Cherokee), but will the I4 be a good
compromise with gas prices the way they are? Also how about the
