Clear instructions to replace radiator in '88 Jeep Comanchee?06 Dec 2006 23:53 GMT6
My cooling system woes continue, this time with a water pump and radiator
replacement.  Both seem like they should be relatively straightforward (if
time-consuming) replacements, but does anyone have a website that itemizes
the radiator replacement?  I've found one, but more ...

I have an 85 cj-7 and all along I thought it was having carb problems but
recently bought some spark plug testers and noticed the do not flash
consistantly. Plugs, wires, rotor and cap are new and plugs are gapped to
0.030". There is 275000+km on the motor. I read that the ...

Wifey came home the other night compaining that her ZJ was acting like

Love it - hate it06 Dec 2006 03:06 GMT21
I love going stomping in mud puddles..
Slinging mud everywhere, making a big mess and knowing that no one will park
close enough to ding me when it's that dirty.

Farewell All06 Dec 2006 02:55 GMT8
Wow, I can't believe it's been 4 years already!  My TJ lost her DD-ability
and I've moved on to something a bit nicer.  I'd post pics, but you all know
what would happen (sky falling, etc.)!
I got an '06 Dakota with all the goodies, including 4wd.  Very impressed.  I

Windshield mirror mount removal?05 Dec 2006 21:41 GMT26
Have any of you ever purposefully removed the rear view mirror mount from
your windshield? I've had them fall off other cars, but I can't seem
to get it off of my '04 TJ. I'm thinking a solvent of some sort. Any
ideas or advice?

Alternator Bearing05 Dec 2006 02:18 GMT8
My alternator is squealing like a banshee but charges fine.  I presume
the bearing is about to go FUBAR.  It is a NipponDenso 90 amp original
on a 94 YJ 2.5L.  Does anyone know of a replacement strategy for the
bearing as neither the Chilton nor Haynes manuals show a breakdown for
lock core seize05 Dec 2006 01:21 GMT14
My 88 wrangler has 3 lock core's froze. One will lock the door but,
won't unlock. They lock from the door panel fine. Should I use a lock
smith or does anyone know of an online store that sell replacement sets
for a reasonable price.
96 Grand Cherokee Stalling04 Dec 2006 17:19 GMT44
I have a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 6 cylinder, automatic with
about 160000 miles. Over the past several weeks, it has developed an
annoying habit of stalling. Initially, this only happened when stopped
at a traffic light or stop sign. It would begin to stumble and then
CJ body mounts torque04 Dec 2006 04:13 GMT12
I'm in the process of replacing the body mounts and bolts on my '82
Scrambler, and I can't seem to find the torque in the factory service
manual.  Anyone know what it's supposed to be?  I've had to cut out all
the old insert nuts and am replacing them with 3/4" grade 8 bolts and
1997 TJ: Catalytic converter Chrysler vs EPA04 Dec 2006 03:46 GMT3
After sweating through replacing the rotten OEM exhaust manifold, I
found the catalytic converter on our 1997 TJ 4.0L w/ 100K has developed
that nasty rattle from busted ceramic.  I guess the exhaust was so loud
leaking out the manifold that we never noticed the cat noise until now.
