Recommendation: Weekend Project Jeep Wrangler06 Jan 2007 14:30 GMT18
I am in the market for a project Jeep for weekend use (i.e. not a daily
driver), however the occasional trip to the beach (maybe 2x per year, 3hrs
each way) might be required.  I am looking for something in the $4-5k range,
4wd is required and V6 is strongly preferred...  outside ...

I got the 303 you suggested for the flares last time I saw you and it works
better, but seems to streak. But still better. Have you thought of paint? If
I get the urge for new Flares I want to try painting the old ones. Any
thoughts.  BTW Hows the Code reader working out?

1990 Wrangler YJ questions random....05 Jan 2007 15:20 GMT1
Recently I had the wiring in my jeep taken care of or thought I did.
What the issue was, there were some wires that looked kind of melted
and had some shorts happening but anyway.  All was taken care of except
for a couple of things.  The rear wiper on the hard top stays on no
CJ to TJ swap05 Jan 2007 15:07 GMT16
Yesterday was a good day and a sad day.  I drove to the local dealership in
my '86 CJ and drove home in a '04 TJ.  I got the X model (Columbia edition)
with 13k miles.  So in effect, i am a "new" jeep owner, since this TJ is a
totally different animal than I what I have been ...

Anyone have a pic...05 Jan 2007 05:31 GMT7
...of a TJ with a 4" lift and 31" tires? Looking at getting a lift kit,
don't really need new tires yet and was wondering how it would look/feel
with my existing 31's. Not sure I can talk the boss into new tires just yet.

Need some help asap please!  Got a 83 Jeep Cherokee that I am
attempting to finish up tranny installation on.  I connected the torque
converter to the tranny and bolted the tranny in place, but now I
cannot despite several hours and a lot of cussing get the four bolts
Intake w/ conical filter05 Jan 2007 03:29 GMT13
I'm looking at putting a cone filter in the '92 XJ (4.0L).  I was
thinking of hitting the junkyard for the longer 2.5L hose, then fabbing
some sort of cold air hood - though not necessarily right away.  (I'll
do it in the YJ later, if this works out)
87 YJ hard to get started05 Jan 2007 03:23 GMT6
After the awesome advice I got on my last post.....let's try it again.  My
YJ is running great once it gets started and idles for 15 minutes.  It
takes me about 10 minutes of cranking to get it started though.  Any idea
why it takes so much to get it going???
wow you guys will love this one..!!05 Jan 2007 02:27 GMT7

I'm about to flush my brother's 2003 Cherokee (160,000 miles). Should I look

Questions on Rubicon Express lift and control arms04 Jan 2007 19:20 GMT10
I'm going to purchase the RE7000 lift for my TJ (4.5").  I have a
question on the lower control arms.  Should I purchase the fixed lower
control arms or go with adjustable?  Teraflex has lower adjustables and
was wondering why Rubicon doesn't offer this standard?  Are the
Loud grinding on start-up04 Jan 2007 14:54 GMT23
258 YJ, Peugeot trans.  When I start it cold, I get a loud metallic
grinding sound.  Rev the engine to 2,000 RPMs for a couple seconds and
it goes away.  Sounds like it could 'possibly' be coming from the pilot
bearing.  I replaced my clutch this spring but left the pilot bearing
