Followup--  2000 JGC  V-8  still overheating19 Jan 2007 19:50 GMT83
I posted this several weeks ago, and got a lot of thoughtful replies.   No
remedy yet, this is just an update.
Last week, I drove home from vacation, a  500 mile trip.    I noticed
repeatedly that the temp at 65 mph would be in the  205-210  range, but five
Broken Motor Mount19 Jan 2007 17:54 GMT17
So...I ended up buying a steering column for the XJ from a junkyard
(the bearings in the old one probably just need to be replaced, but I
was fed up with it).  After driving about 5 hours to pick it up, I got
it in and drove to the gas station to fill up the tank.

Anyone seen the movie "Cars"?  :)18 Jan 2007 05:25 GMT9
I was watching this with the kids the other day.  Basically all the
characters are automobiles of some type.
There's a great scene in the end where a Jeep(who's like an army vet) is
trying to get some"offroad" vehicles to go 4-wheelin'   There are a bunch of

Engine dies and can't figure out why18 Jan 2007 00:07 GMT10
My Dad has a 1942 GPW that we use on some hilly property, which has
developed a problem that we can't seem to solve.  Basically the engine
will just quit running for no apparent reason.  This used to happen
rarely but is becoming much more common.
97 TJ transfer case leaking17 Jan 2007 15:13 GMT1
I had my 97 TJ  in to the dealer for a recall notice and of course they
found some things wrong with it. One of them was that the transfer case
was leaking. Is this a huge job? Expensive? Does it need to be done
right away? And, what will that effect on the Jeep? Thanks

make TJ rear washer pump work when top is off17 Jan 2007 01:46 GMT18
Is there a way to make the rear washer pump work when the hardtop is
off?  I would assume there is a jumper in the electrical connection
when it is connected to the hardtop, so what lines do I need to jump
together?

I have a nut where the front sway bar link bushing is (bottom) and I
