Have an 86 XJ I am bringing back to life to serve as a daily driver. I believe the pinion seal is in need of replacing (rear). Is this a difficult repair for a novice or should I have a mechanic perform this repair? Just wondering. Also I have a 2006 Grand Cherokee Limited with

Well my u joint in the rear was not bad as I suspected, but what I found was a strap was loose. It was allowing the shaft to move laterally. Took it to the mechanic, he said u joint was fine. Bearings were good. He said to center it in the yoke upon reinstallation. There

Carl, and Ray I want to thank you both for your responses but I ned to rephrase.. The brake light I was reffering to is on my dashboard (such as when I put my emergency brake on). but I notice when I step on my brakes there is alot of play....Thanks again... I will wait for feedback ...
