Before I decide on a 2" vs 3" lift for my 95 XJ 4.0L Auto 4x4, I want
to measure the current ride height and compare it to the factory spec.
Can someone point me to a resource that shows this type of data?

Steering Shaft adjustment14 Mar 2007 23:32 GMT2
Last weekend I removed the 3" body lift on my 99 Wrangler that the
previous owner put on.  I'm noticing a problem with the steering shaft
now.  I am getting rubbing on the fender from the bottom U-Joint.
Plus the U-joint has got a pretty good angle to it now.  Does anyonw
CJ-7 vis CJ-5 question14 Mar 2007 22:17 GMT14
I have a question regarding automatic transmissions on a Jeep CJ.
According to Wiki, it says that the CJ-7 had the availability of an
automatic transmission.  Does this mean that the CJ-5 ONLY came with a
standard transmission?

I'm no farmer but even if I was, I'd be VERY pissed if offroaders were
screwing up my plowed fields that I use to earn my living with.  But
as
an active offroader, I wheel with and know no one that would do such a

92 XJ Steering issue14 Mar 2007 16:43 GMT2
I was changing the rear oil seals this past weekend. I had the front
end on jack stands to drop the front suspension for clearance and I
noticed that the left, driver side front wheel looks like it is toed
out in relation to the passenger side. This is barely noticeable when
'92 Cherokee Routine Maintainence becomes Major Overhaul???14 Mar 2007 04:43 GMT4
I'm the proud owner of a New (to me) 1992 Jeep Cherokee 2x4 4.0L
Laredo. I've been trying to get it cleaned up. The previous owner took
care of oil changes and that was about it. It now has 207,000 miles. I
was going through half a quart of power steering fluid a week until I
Hardtop Airvent14 Mar 2007 00:36 GMT4
My wife decided to be a champ and take my Jeep to the car wash.  Very
nice gesture I thought, until she returned and I discovered that the
"Brushless" CarWash ripped one of the Black Plastic Air Vent things
off the Factory Hard Top.  It looks like they just kind of slide in.

Me again.  My 1988 4.2 YJ is once again giving me problems.  Just
installed a rebuilt 2bl Carter 2 weeks ago.  Flushed the fuel lines
and changed the filter when I did it.  First had problems with the
choke pull-off, I didn't have that fixed for a day before I started
Lugnut removal update13 Mar 2007 04:49 GMT8
Hey guys,
I never could find that lugnut removal socket at any of the auto parts
stores around here, so I finally gave in and took it to Mr. Tire.
An hour later, my bill was $97 for the removal of six rounded off

Hi.  I'm new to the group.  My neighbor has a 96 Cherokee 4.0 I6 MPFI.
The distributor holddown bolt came out and it spit the distributor
out. He has purchased a new distributor (it bent the shaft on his old
one) and has asked me to help him install the new one.
