'98 XJ Power Steering question22 Apr 2007 20:43 GMT3
RE: '98 XJ 4.0, power steering
When maneuvering at slow speeds - not at the fully-locked positions -
the steering is hard and I hear something that sounds like the power
steering fluid swishing about.  I have replaced the fluid, but it

1994 YJ Axle22 Apr 2007 13:39 GMT22
It's finally warming up here in Buffalo, NY, and it's got me thinking
about fixing the jeep after having it garaged for the past two years.
Before I do anything, I though I'd start by asking for advice here.
The jeep is a 94 YJ, 4.0l. The problem is with the rear axle. After
ABS Module on 98 Grand cherokee22 Apr 2007 07:19 GMT2
My ABS has been coming on imtermittently and occasionally engaging at
low braking velocities (10-20MPH) on dry smooth surfaces. I took my
jeep in for a checkup, they said the ABS module needs to be replaced.

It's been a looong time since I posted here. I'm having a problem with
my power steering.  I just reinforced the frame on my 1981 CJ-7, by
welding 1/8" plates on the outer side of the frame (both sides).
The problem I have now is that my steering is suddenly hard sometimes

Dash Gauge Question21 Apr 2007 07:23 GMT3
I'm going to temporarily disconnect my dash "gauges", (and I use the term
loosely,) in order to install some real ones.
It will take a few days, as I'm recovering from major shoulder surgery.
Does anyone know if the alternator will continue to charge properly, if I
Looking for a fuse block 92 YJ 4.0L21 Apr 2007 07:01 GMT6
I just can't find the right place to look.  My fuse block's terminals
(spring clips that hold the blades of the fuse) are loosening and in
one case, breaking.  One fuse just falls out when I go over a bump.
Where should I look for a fuse block?

'88 Grand Wagon frame rusted20 Apr 2007 00:01 GMT41
Sad story...
My beloved '88 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, my trusted friend for the last 18 years,
apparently has a terminal case of frame rust that won't pass inspection. In
the past, my mechanic has fixed this by welding in patches but he now says

1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic
I tilted my steering wheel one day, after never doing that, and my
cruise control and horn don't work. In addition the "Air Bag" light
came on, so I am sure that doesn't work. It can't be just coincidence
