Stuck Choke?30 Jun 2007 06:07 GMT4
I have a 1984 Jeep Cherokee.  It will start if a spray start fluid
into the Carburetor and then rev the engine for 5-10 minutes.  After
it "warms up" it runs fine.  Sometimes I can start the engine on a hot
day, without the starter fluid.  If  I do not use start fluid, and the
h-ibeam light won't go off30 Jun 2007 05:35 GMT2

Nice thing about Hughes' posts30 Jun 2007 01:59 GMT94
All you have to do is look at the size of his posts and you know if they are
C&P and you don't have to bother opening them to know what they say.

Sticky Lifters Killing Mileage on YJ? Noisier Than Hell!29 Jun 2007 20:05 GMT7
Help!  I have a YJ that is suffering from no more "pickup" on the
freeway, except when really punched, terrible mileage (was 13.5 to 14
mpg, now 9.8 mpg), and load exhaust noise in my manifold that sounds
like a cracked pipe (but is not).  I thought that I'd be changing out
Fuel system troubleshooting recommendations?28 Jun 2007 22:56 GMT11
About a month ago I first experienced some problem with the fuel
system on my '93 Cherokee(4.0L, 128K).
Usually when it happens I am driving down the road and the fuel seems
to just cut out for a second or two, but comes right back. On two
Jeep Wrangler Cooling System Pressure Test28 Jun 2007 12:11 GMT1
Tonight I tried to pressure test my 02 Jeep Wrangler's Cooling
System.  After putting about two pumps of air in I could hear the air
move somewhere.  When I took off the tester a bunch of coolant was
pushed out.  The air went somewhere.  It seems like the radiator cap
92 YJ, Do I have a Timing Chain Tensoner?28 Jun 2007 02:10 GMT5
1992 YJ I6 4.0 165k miles.
The clacky clack rattle at idle is driving me nuts.  If this year
motor has the tensoner I'll pay the labor to have it done.  I've read
enough to know what a pain in the a.s it will be to get to those two
General Jeep Questions28 Jun 2007 01:05 GMT263
I'm back in the market for my 3rd Jeep. I've owned an '88 YJ 6cyl and an '85
CJ 4cyl. The CJ was crap (bad engine, among other things) and the YJ wasn't
too bad except for that dreaded carb. Anywho, I'd like to spend up to around
$6500 CDN for one but I'd like to do it right this ...
sporadic cruise control27 Jun 2007 15:36 GMT7
My cruise control has started acting up. Sometimes is works fine but
sometime (and getting more frequent) it turns on (the dashboard
indicator lights up) but won't allow me to set the speed. I push the set
button but the cc never kicks in.
Jeep guys!27 Jun 2007 05:03 GMT4
I determined that my new (TO ME) free motorhome needs a  Chevy-pattern T-400
transmission overhaul last Sat.  I have a spare AMC pattern 400 in the shop.
I called a friend who builds them (last nite, he was on the Rubi all
weekend) and he said he'll build me one in exchange for a ...

Thanks,

Will Wrangler 16' rims fit my 94 Cherokee hubs?25 Jun 2007 21:53 GMT45
94 Cherokee SE, 5spd, 2WD, 125K miles
I'm in need of a set of tires, and found someone (who upgraded)
selling new tires with rims from a late model Wrangler that I can pick
up on the cheap.
This group is out of control25 Jun 2007 21:51 GMT33
When I subscribed to this group back in January, it was a good place
for information.  As of late, it has turned into something else.  I
know there are a lot of loyal subscribers who are willing to spend
their time handing out valuable knowledge to others that are in need
