94 yj clutch issues25 Jun 2007 16:38 GMT2
I just jumped in my jeep and pressed the clutch and turned the key.
Instead of it starting, the jeep lurched forward and the "check
engine" light came on temporarily. The pedal is suddenly total mush
now. I thought it might be a cable, assuming its a cable system -
97 xj-- can it be converted to the old style distributor..25 Jun 2007 03:40 GMT4
Since we still can't figure out why there is no spark on my 97 xj,
this question was tossed out into the fray:
IS it possible to convert the current distributor over to an older
style with points and condenser?
XJ floorboard holes25 Jun 2007 00:29 GMT9
As I mentioned in a previous post, I have a couple of holes to repair
in the passenger side floorboard of my XJ... What is the best way to
repair this?
1.  Weld replacement sheet metal over the holes.
4.0L AX-15 bell housing - missing parts?24 Jun 2007 23:42 GMT2
After long last, I have rebuilt my AX-15 and am ready to stick it back
into the XJ.  When I first took it out many months ago, I took the
bell housing off underneath the vehicle, then moved the transmission
inside to work on it.
CD, Cassette Radio Question24 Jun 2007 18:50 GMT2
I trust this isn't too off topic. I have a 2002 Grand Cherokee with the
CD/Cassette/Am/FM radio set. Controls in the steering wheel etc.
The CD quit the other day. It went back to playing the radio and the
little disc icon was not lit up. I had difficulty removing the CD but it

Thanks again for help guys.

TJ A/C Issues23 Jun 2007 05:18 GMT26
It's been a while since I've posted to this newsgroup, but this latest
issue has brought me and my repair shop to a standstill.  This takes
place with my 1997 TJ.  Put as simple as possible, the problem is
that, on occasion, the A/C refuses to get remotely cold after any
1999 Grand Cherokee Jack points23 Jun 2007 03:45 GMT6
Gang,
I need to change rotors on my 1999 Grand Cherokee.  As I look at the
following link http://www.wjjeeps.com/misc/jacking_points_wj.jpg It appears
you cannot use a floor jack under the front Axle tube to jack up the truck.
Removing Door Lock Tumblers23 Jun 2007 01:50 GMT18
I just bought a 1990 Wrangler without a working door key.  I don't
have the key codes so I need to have the locks re-keyed which is
pretty pricey.  I've heard I may be able to take out the tumblers
(plugs) and file down the tumbler pins enough to have a working lock/
favorite cherokee general purpose tires22 Jun 2007 20:14 GMT3
I have to replace the tires on my 93 cherokee sport. I wanted to take
a little poll and see what everyone's favorite tire is based on price
and performance. The car is not subjected to any real 4 wheel abuse,
just New England winters and quite a few highway miles.
SIDE WINDOWS FLAPPING22 Jun 2007 20:00 GMT7
Hello all.  I have a 2006 Wrangler X with the soft top.  Does anyone
know of any way to prevent or possibly lessen the side window flapping
that occurs while driving at highway speeds?  The funny thing is that
I only seem to hear the passenger side window flapping....not the
Proper Torquing on I622 Jun 2007 14:36 GMT7
I've got myself a 1973 Jeep with the I6 and I'm trying to understand the
technical service manual torquing recommendations.
The chart of proper torque levels says that the "Exhaust Manifold to
Cylinder Head Bolt" is 25 ft. lbs and the "Intake Manifold to Cylinder Head
Cerberus22 Jun 2007 09:14 GMT15
I see where Remington Arms has agreed to be purchased by Cerberus.
Wonder if they'll start offering a shotgun with each Jeep sold?
The advertising potential is interesting since Jeep and Remington are
both associated with hunting.....
Anyone using an aftermarket steering stabilizer on a ZJ?22 Jun 2007 08:50 GMT4
The front bushings are getting a bit creaky and looking at replacing
them.  At the same time, will probably replace the steering stabilizer.
For a ZJ that already has the Rancho RS9000X shocks, would the Rancho
single tube steering stabilizer do anything unusually bad to the
