i bought a 2002 TJ 4cyl 2.4L and want to change the oil filter on it. the original filter seems to have a block of foam under it (dirty) i'm planning on getting a FRAM air filter (CA8205) and replacing the original filter

Just an update. I finally found the Permatex epoxy and it does stick the the HDPE, thanks to merril for the tip. The problem is that the leak is from a seam in a spot that is very hard to get to (bottom of the molded mounting rail). It looks like it will have to be sealed

My under hood steering shaft on my 86 CJ7 is getting really sloppy at the lower u-joint and needs to get replaced. I can get it rebuilt locally with greasable u-joints for about $175.00 I think it is, but really don't have the cash right now.

Ok, I am on a fishing expedition for likely things to check. Our 88 Cherokee with the 4.0 has lost power above half throttle. It goes fine up to that point, then just bogs, no matter what gear it is in. It has been neglected for 4 years as far as tuning goes due to me

I have a 99 Jeep wrangler sport and some times when i get up to like 45 MPH the gear shift starts to shake relley bad and now the steering wheel is starting to shake also but this happins only sometimes like one or two times a month.

That side-to-side axleshaft movement is perfectly normal. It's there because the axleshafts must be pushed inward so the c-clip can be accessed and removed for axleshaft removal. No worries dabend wrote
