Will a narrow track CJ7 steering shock fit a wide track CJ7? I am picking up some badly needed parts for my CJ7 and have a bead on a dual shock steering stabilizer setup from a 80 narrow track and want to know if it will fit before I buy.

My 96 XJ has something like 330k on it and the ignition switch and lock has never given any trouble until today. Got in the Jeep, turned the key and it felt like something went "crunch", and when it got to the start position nothing happend.

Is the axle on a dana 30, on a wide track CJ, only longer on one side, or are both sides longer? Reason I'm asking is my frame broke on my 81 narrow track, I just bought a CJ with a with a good frame from the wrecker, it is probably wide track. I've replaced my dana 30 with hub ...

here's the full history. 5 years ago my dad and i rebuilt the sr-4 tranny (stuck in 3rd gear) in my 80, cj7. it crapped out within a couple months, (stuck in 3rd gear again) and it sat since then. so i dropped the sr-4 and picked up a t-4. rebuilt the t-4, new bearings

I have been reading some of the specs on the JK Rubicon Unlimited.... front and rear lockers you can activate with the flick of a switch? dana 44s front and rear? 32" tires standard, no lift kit needed?? 4.10 gear ratio, 4:1 compression, and a six speed
