| Aftermarket bumpers and winches - compatability? | 31 Aug 2007 22:00 GMT | 1 |
I've got a '99 TJ Sport with an 8000lb Champion winch on the front mounted into the stock tow hook holes. Will the double-tube hoop bumpers fit with the winch on (such as the Smitty Bilt ones)? Any I should avoid for sure? Any that fit for sure?

| Jeep TJ, Coolant leaking from front oil pan gasket? | 31 Aug 2007 21:12 GMT | 132 |
My 2000 Jeep TJ 6CYL 4.0L has been leaking coolant for some time. Originally, it appeared to leak from the top of the radiator. Given this, I replaced the radiator. Then it started leaking from where the lower hose connects to the radiator. I then tightened the hose on

My dad has a 93 Cherokee Sport 4.0 L, 135K in good condition. We are both Jeep owners. His Jeep started dying after about 15 minutes of running. The ignition turns on, all power to everything, the jeep turns over, but will not start. He replaced a broken heater hose

I have a 2002 TJ 6 cylinder and I need to disconnect the fuel line at the fire wall. Does anyone have a procedure on how to do this. How does the quick disconnect come off? If it is removed do any new parts have to be replaced on the connector or will it be ok? When I

| routine maintenance question | 31 Aug 2007 01:02 GMT | 4 |
My jeep is about to turn 60,000 miles, and there is a bunch of routine service stuff recommended in the manual, such as changing transmission fluid and differential fluid. That much is fine and dandy, and I'm going to hire the local jiffy lube to just change all

| gearing change for a CJ2A | 31 Aug 2007 00:04 GMT | 7 |
Some years back I had a '47 CJ2A, and am currently considering getting another (a '48). My recollection is that the stock gearing was somewhere around 5.13 or so, and I'm wondering whether it's possible/feasible to replace those with maybe a 3.08 or even 2.73 set for better ...

| Correcting speedo error | 30 Aug 2007 14:43 GMT | 11 |
A GPS is as accurate at calculating your vehicle speed as is a 'certified' speedo in a police car. So when the speedometer in my 2006 Liberty was registering 107 kph when the GPS was showing 120 kph, I mentioned this at my next service interval. The mechanic came up with a ...

| Instrument panel lights not working | 30 Aug 2007 04:17 GMT | 3 |
Just bought an '03 Wrangler and drove the 1000 mile journey home with no instrument panel lights (Headlights, tail lights, gauges and warning lights all work fine). After googling the issue, I proceeded down the path of tracing out the issue.

| M38A1 -- Idle's OK, Stalls on Acceleration | 29 Aug 2007 21:03 GMT | 16 |
I have a '53 M38A1 with what seems like a very "diagnosable" issue. The engine was rebuilt about 3 years ago and has a the correct carb. I leave it in MA during the winter, so it sits for about 8 months at a time before being driven again during the summer.

| Steering woes | 29 Aug 2007 02:06 GMT | 9 |
Well, the shop got the new track bar today, they went to put it on, and low and behold my Currie steering is also bent. Tie rod is bent out (away from the axle), drag link is bent, like you would expect, at the joint where the tie rod attaches. Now what? Who's is better than ...
