Winch question09 Aug 2007 01:09 GMT15
I bought a TJ that came with a Champion 8000lb winch with remote. I've heard
that most Jeepers don't get anything less than 12000lb for a winch for
safety reasons. Should I just sell this winch or is 8000lb a safe rating for
getting myself unstuck? I don't want that cable snapping ...

larger ruts and rocks, is there something basic that I can do to add
02 Grand C, Water on Passenger Floor08 Aug 2007 19:31 GMT6
After going through the fix for A/C condensation water on the passenger
side floor of my 1993 Grand Cherokee, I found today that I have the
water problem in my 2002 Grand Cherokee.
Is the fix nearly the same? The components are different so I thought

1886 Grand Wagoneer08 Aug 2007 04:14 GMT7
Well thanks to the help of this board the Wagoneer is back on the
road, albeit a little shaky.  I can't seem to get the carb set right.
I had a problem with it loping in idle or at stop with transmission in
gear.  I heard a high pitched whine, and sionc the water pump was
Jeep Announces Lifetime Power Train Warranty08 Aug 2007 02:07 GMT16
Starting with '07 Jeeps purchased 07-25-07 Jeep is offering a "Lifetime"
Power Train warranty. If the terms are similar to the 7/70 I have on my
'04 TJ it could be verrry useful. The 7/70 has already saved me
hundreds. Chrysler products will also have the same coverage.
Oh boy, what's that noise?08 Aug 2007 01:40 GMT5
'97 TJ, 4.0, roughly 130-140k on the odometer.
Bear with me, as I'm trying to narrow down the source of a persistent
engine noise.  I'm well versed in mechanics, but this is the first
engine "rattle" I've run across that has been more noticeable at idle/
Problems shifting gears in 92 Jeep wrangler08 Aug 2007 00:27 GMT7
I have problems shifting gears. It starts out fine, but after a while
it gets harder to shift gears, eventually I get stuck in one gear and
cannot get out of it. If this happens while I am stationary not even
the breaks can keep the jeep from moving forward. The drive train is
