Parking for the winter in extreme cold - proper precautions?18 Sep 2007 12:00 GMT7
I'm parking my '99 TJ Sport for the winter and would like some advice on
what to do beforehand. Where I live it gets to about -35C with about 3-4
feet of snow cumulative for about a 5-6mth block. Here's what I will be
doing already:
Has anyone heard from Billy Ray lately17 Sep 2007 22:09 GMT6
I haven't heard or seen a word from him in some time now...
I'm concerned.
I wonder if his daughter worked him to death or if he finally fell in love
and went off into the real world in his Jeep.
CJ7 "missing" at highway speeds or under load - HELP!!17 Sep 2007 21:04 GMT14
I have an 85 CJ7 that has developed a nasty habit of missing extremely
bad at highway speeds or when pulling a utility trailer (when the
engine is hot).  I have replaced the plugs, coil, dist. cap & rotor,
and control module - all of which produced nothing except a much
CJ7 Project for Sale17 Sep 2007 12:10 GMT10
First, let me say I hope I'm not violating any newsgroup charter with this,
but:
I have a 1986 CJ-7 in my basement which is for sale in part or in whole. I
would rather sell it as a whole.
minor gloat17 Sep 2007 02:52 GMT9
I usually fill the tank on my Cherokee at about 300 to 320 miles but
have let it go as far as 360 miles (not willingly, but in can be hard to
find a gas station open after midnight in the Asheville NC area!).
Well tonight it was still showing about a 1/4 tank of gas but I'd gone
Tires for 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport16 Sep 2007 22:18 GMT5
I know this has been done but if you could do it again that would be
great.
I have Michelin LTX M/S that are to be replaced. I do no off roading
and don't want to spend as much as I did on those.
When are the '08 Wranglers coming?16 Sep 2007 15:29 GMT4
Does anyone know when the '08 Wranglers are coming out?
Thanks.

Rubicon electronic sway bar disconnect replacement?16 Sep 2007 13:23 GMT3
I have convinced my significant other that we need a new Rubi in order to
plow our very long driveway.  My son has a Fisher plow on his '99 TJ.  I'd
like to put a Fisher on the Rubi to have 'backup' capabilities with my son's
rig.  However, Fisher's plow mount interferes with the ...
Posting the RAMJ+W, This Newsgroup's, CHARTER!16 Sep 2007 13:15 GMT2
This Charter for the rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys Usenet Newsgroup needs
to be posted now and then to keep it valid so I do.
This is 'not' an 'alt' newsgroup, but a 'rec' one which isn't quite so
much of a free for all 'usually'.
Where were you on 9/11/0116 Sep 2007 06:53 GMT14
I was thinking about posting this qustion today in class. So I did so
where were you when the planes hit the twin towers? I was in class at
Junior high (way before I got my 99 Wrangler) if I remember right it
was math. But that day no one was doing math. We were all watching the
CB power15 Sep 2007 22:31 GMT82
Hey fellas. I'm wiring a new CB tomorrow and I want to do it right. I
can't find the exact answer I'm looking for on the All Seeing Eye, so
here I am.
When wiring power, I understand it's best to go to the source (battery).
Seat belt problem15 Sep 2007 21:22 GMT1
95 XJ Sport
The spring mechanism seems to have broken in the seat belt latch.
There is no tension on the release button anymore, and the (?) catch
plate inside the buckle stays in the released position. I can
engine and tranny questions15 Sep 2007 11:26 GMT1
I have an 86 Grand Wagoneer that is trashed out but has a good 258 six in
it.  I also have an 89 GW that is in good shape but the engine is blown.
What I need to know is this:  will a 258 bolt up directly  to a 627
Torqueflite tranny or do I need to buy an adapter for it??  The ...
Jeep JT....er I mean J8?15 Sep 2007 03:15 GMT1
When I first saw the Jeep JT earlier in the year, I thought it looked
a little like a military vehicle.  I guess I know why now.  Seems it
was based off one/designed to be one.  I just read that Jeep is
getting back into the military business with the Jeep J8 military
CJ7 Frame question15 Sep 2007 02:46 GMT3
Well, I went and looked at a 78 CJ7 for sale today and unfortunately the
frame isn't so good in the back end. The rest of the Jeep is pretty
decent, but I have a feeling that finding a good frame around here
(Norther WI or Upper MI) is going to be tough.
